I understand your perspective. I think a lot of us honed into positions with no wiggle room. You know I'm very fortunate that I got to live many lives (poor/ wealthy, east coast/midwest friends with so called "Liberal and conservative (god I hate lables) belief systems. " Through that I came to the opinion ( and know my thoughts are always adjustable) is that most policies or issues don't have definitive absolutes. Like the human individual there are layers to policies . I agree with you that we created a system which on the surface gives us and opportunity to change outcomes in policy if the majority so chooses. However I also believe that there are a lot of deep layered obstacles that hinder the opportunity to make very necessary changes that would benefit the whole population. Layers upon layers. Again just my opinion. I appreciate you being honest. -

Out of curiosity what do you define as hatred? I'm curious because I wonder if people have become so "it's either this or else" mode that there really is no chance to improve (with infrastructure or health etc). -

I just don't think the teachers have that type of time to mold anything.Seriously overworked and underpaid position. Just imagine taking care of 20 kids at the very least. That's madness. My niece exhausts me after a couple of hours. -

Like our general elections some people don’t come to the voting booth. -

Personally I think it’s just picking and choosing. There are plenty of guest lectures and programs that speak on multiple issues. The Mathers Museum have had lectures on guns of the past ( Note not saying it’s conservative to support guns , just that it seems to be a stupid prevailing label), and there have been many prolife lectureships. Personally I’m in favor of letting it all out and hope we have an educated populace that at least hears all the information, then go make a judgment, with hopefully the humility to adapt. All of it, or none of it. That’s what IU was founded on. I had a conversation with Herman B Wells before he passed and that was the vision he held when we talked. For people who don’t know. Herman B Wells was the university president that kind of help ignite the university to be nationally respected and recognized. During WW2 he had an active part in bringing some the smartest scientists and thinkers in Europe to teach our students. People who were Jewish (at the time we did not want as country (in general) and did a lot of at the time controversial studies. That’s the issue I have with you. Yes those are specific topics but it’s the price you pay to have people come in and talk about your topics of interest. They’re talked about, it’s just not publicized. For those frustrated , this is my last post on the topic. -

Are u making this about yourself? Look the issues the professors stated down mean squat to me because they’re not issues that greatly impact the whole but it’s important that diversified points of view should be expressed. It’s how we get better. We gather the information and hopefully through study and humility we use the data or not to better ourselves. Now I agree that the issues stated above should really not have a big impact on Whitten but San Francisco? Don’t get why it’s necessary to put broad labels on a group of people. And for the record I have this type of same complaint with the so called “other side” when people think they have a right to be haughty over another segment of the population. I’m firm believer that all information should be out but again the decision is yours and yours alone to see how you want to move forward. Honestly have no clue how we move forward as a people when we’re too busy putting labels on each other. -

Unfortunately I'm out of state but I wonder if I buy season tickets (2) if they could distribute them to other fans. Or maybe I should just write a check to women's basketball. -

93%!!!! that's more clear cut than the "are you happy with Coach Mike Woodson" poll. -
Yeah this is fair. I hope after a year of experience he just get's more confident and shoots so well that it gives the big men more space to operate with.

As a Knicks fan I think u guys can beat them. They lost their defensive edge when they fired their manager.

To be fair, I think it can be anyone at this point. Sadly I think a lot of people think they have to choose a side. The "True Fans" speech kind threw a match into a gas station. I just want my program back to being good. If somehow Woodson changes all of our addressed concerns and there's a light at the end of the tunnel, I would welcome it with open arms. Even at face of people telling me how stupid I was to question his coaching and approach to recruiting. -

it's not the debate that's annoying, it's the back handed insults. Stuhoo argues but he does so in good faith. -

Again I guess it's a debate of what we expect out of the program. You say top 30, I say that's not good enough. Truth be told I'm more concerned about the defense. I'll say this. If the perimeter defense is better guarded then my hopes are high that we'll have an ok season. -

I know it’s still a very long shot but do you think the people who back Woodson would also jump at the opportunity to get him? -

Listen we have had this talk before. I don't like you. You have a better than you are attitude at times and frankly I just don't like conversing with you.
