I know he wasn't a stat stuffer but I think we are underplaying how important Hanner was to this game.  Nic Moore scored in bunches in the lane when Hanner wasn't there.  He had great positioning to induce their offense to take bad shots ( which granted led them to easy offensive rebounds).

This is not a babysitting program.  I would not have gotten the same treatment, I might have been even suspended from school.  Tough #&*$ if you drink and drive.  This instance, we have to wait and see, but if he's kicked out off the team it's up to him to pay for his education like I did.

Like making the decision to drink and drive and endangering others.  There are consequences for actions.  

Kicking him off the team is fair if it's decided. I would suspend them for an entire season if its me but not forever.  Kicking him off school is another matter.  Basketball comes second when you drink and endanger other lives.

I agree that tons of kids have done this.  It's not fair on these kids, but they are held to a higher standard, because they influence the actions of other students as well.  

I don't care about drinking and getting drunk, but theres is a distinction when someone goes behind a wheel.  After the Hanner incident, this should be repeated into these kids heads that gong behind the wheel is the tipping point and will not be tolerated.    I pray and hope these kids are OK. This goes beyond basketball, it's about accountability as well when you risk others lives.  I don't care what % of alcohol you had.  Bloomington is a small enough campus where you can easily walk to or take a cab home.

Of course we have hearts and minds on these kids.  This however is idiotic.  This should never happened after the Hanner incident. Period. You lay down the law when it comes to issues of drinking and driving. Others lives could have easily been involved.  I let go of it the first time, second time I get ^$^$^.  It should have not come to this.  

I can't believe this actually happened and to a certain extent it is on Coach Crean.  

I know it seems highly unlikely, but let's have a little fun.  I say we propose ideas of what we would actually do if we did win it all, but if we actually do, we have to carry them out.   Nothing like tempting the fates to help us win it all I say.   What am I willing to do?   If we win a National Championship, I'm willing to go in full IU attire into UNC's Campus ( near the union), and sing the IU fight song and boasting how we have more banners then them.     Granted I might get drinks and fists thrown at my direction, but it would be worth it.     Let me know what you would do.  It could be something embarassing or charitable.
