Williams has regressed.

I would almost want coach to get a T at this point. Make it known to the refs that they can't push so much.

This is why we need more big men.

Basketball issues aside, I'm not feeling that great about the program as a whole. Just wanted your opinions.   I base my opinion on the following -that the soccer program is not living up to it's rankings in recent years. - Our stud baseball coach left, and now I'm left wondering if the baseball team was just a one hit wonder or something that's more consistent that could contend to go to Omaha. - Women's basketball. The Coach defection took away my hope of it going anywhere. - volleyball is a complete joke.  -football - I'm willing to give Coach Wilson one more year, but I'm not thrilled with the results thus far. One year we have great offense and awful defense, this year it's the reverse (defense is moderate). -Wrestling is ranked in the top 20's consistently - I'm Ok with this. -swimming is OK but a far cry from when we were once a dynasty.   I don't  know much about the other sports. Overall I'm not happy, and wondered if what I feel is up to par. Is it just a phase or should we flush the entire administration ( AD- to towel boys), because this is just too constant for my liking.  Have at it.

We have become mediocre at best. We need a change. Guesses? 

I do and many others do. We root for the school .

Everybody was ecstatic 11-12 not so the next because we should have won more and gone further in the tournament. Winning is the name of the game and that's it. It's not too much to ask and that's not demanding it's expected for being the highest paid person in Indiana.

That's not true. Get wins , kids go to class, and don't get any serious trouble. I know I can do the last two, for 3 mil a year I would be able to accomplish those three tasks. I live in nc and they rail on Roy ( prior to scandal) even after two banners. When I go back to Syracuse , they destroy boheim. U really have no idea what your talking about. We're upset yes but nowhere near as disturbing as other fan bases.

I know u meant no harm, I just like it. Prior to us no big ten team went to the college World Series prior to 1984. Streaks have to end sometime, and I like how we can be trailblazers. I'm just sad coach smith left. I hope we can still be a good program.

I actually do like this.  Yes I'm a huge basketball fan, but I'm a fan of all types of sports. Your talking to a person who went to Japan to watch a Koshein baseball game, a sumo wrestling Basho.  

Yes but it was when were a very low seed.  Freitag got fired for less and he won a national championship as well, and as of right now had an overall better track record.  I know it might sound absurd, but I base success compared to how well we fared in the past and the possiblity of the future.  Historically, other then St. Louis ( they had success only in the 70's),  we are the standard for college soccer. With that comes higher expectations.   

You know every time in a person's life, you ask yourself what the next challenge is.  Coach K asked himself that question when he flirted with idea of going to the Lakers.  He stayed ultimately, because he built a legacy at Duke from the ground up, and it was too hard to let go. Donovan on the other hand, has done everything he could possibly do at Florida.  He didn't build it from the ground up, and well no matter how hard he tries, it's always going to be a football school. If paid right, the chance to coach at University that worships basketball, and is desperate ( I think we are at this point) to win a championship some day is enticing.  My point being, it doesn't hurt to aim for the heavens. It only hurts if we don't try.  

If his last name wasn't associated with a legend, he would be on the hot seat.

I again disagree with this about hanner. It's very difficult to get positioning when you have to keep shifting to defend multiple people in the paint, plus trying to stop nic Moore from driving at will, which he did consistently when hanner was subbed out. Everyone here thinks rebounds are the end all but hanners positioning was spot on to the point where at least made players take awkward shots. If anything I feel that our perimeter defense has to improve so that hanner doesn't have to shift to guard a driving guard all the time. That's why getting a big man is so important. While one big man defends the other gets positioning to get the rebound. I'm happy with what I saw from hanners game. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I know he wasn't a stat stuffer but I think we are underplaying how important Hanner was to this game.  Nic Moore scored in bunches in the lane when Hanner wasn't there.  He had great positioning to induce their offense to take bad shots ( which granted led them to easy offensive rebounds).

He's our only big man and he has to keep switching to defend their power forward and center from getting easy buckets.tough to get rebounds when you can't get positioning. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
