    5th Year Transfers

Lets hope Crean can make a pitch that gets through to him.
  2. Thats exciting! Sounds like if things go as we project in 2 or 3 years we could compete in the B10

    Greener pastures....

I like the positive tone of this thread and think we should all list a couple things we are excited for about IU basketball next year and in the future, I'll start:    The development of Yogi should be fun to watch We will get to see JB2 as a Hoosier, thats exciting  I am interested to see Perea's development
  4. What do you guys think about him? Is he the type of guy who could be in the rotation his freshman year or would we have to wait until his sophomore or junior year to see solid production from him?

    5th Year Transfers

To kind of skew the intent of this thread to general next year scholarship #s, does anyone have an idea of the number of players/positions we are trying to bring in for the class of 2015?

    5th Year Transfers

Last year's stats according to ESPN:                                      31 Minutes per game, .495 FG% .655 FT%, 8.6 RPG, 13.6 PPG 6'9 looks like he played PF and sometimes C for the Owls       nice wingspan shot haha

    5th Year Transfers

    Would be clutch
  10. Just based on last year them having 8 wins and being close in a bunch of games, and just losing to LSU in their bowl game. But I have no idea what they have coming back, so hopefully they lost a lot last year.   Ha, I'll be on campus next year too! What school are you going to be in?
  11. Why do you guys think we will beat Iowa?

Who would you hire to replace CTC?

Its also important to remember that US News rankings take a lot of subjective and sometimes irrelevant material into account when making rankings. Regardless, this is a different topic from the thread's intent

    Wrong decision years ago?

There is a saying in coaching about making chicken salad out of chicken ... "feathers." Last year Crean had very good pieces and for most of the year put out a good product. Of course, it doesn't matter since it was stopped short in the sweet 16. However this year after losing many pieces, we learned he didn't have many of the same quality pieces and was unable to coach them up. That shows more of his coaching ability than the sweet 16 seasons have. Give most competent coaches Oladipo, Zeller, Wat, etc and they'll make a sweet 16. Given the pieces we had this year, we should have definitely at minimum made the NCAAs. It exposed Crean's inability to coach the boys up and thats what a lot of guys are complaining about. I'm hoping that Crean can get it together next year, coach the boys up and then reload the program with gems.

Who would you hire to replace CTC?

Presumably not very right now after his first year at UCLA. But, if he can get them to make a decent run this year in the tournament maybe after next year or the year after that he would be a good candidate   U.S. News and World Report continues to rank Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, IU School of Medicine, IU School of Education, and Maurer School of Law among the Best Graduate Schools for 2015. Also receiving high marks are IU's doctoral programs in chemistry, biology, and physics   The Kelley School of business undergraduate school is top 10 in the country and I believe their music school is also very highly respected. IU is a very good public university and is anything but dropping.
  15. Who do you guys think will be starting WRs?

    SMU at IU next year

I think IU just needs any name teams... and wins against them before we start worrying about the strength of our schedule on the road.    I really like this! Hope we are up to the task
  17. Seems like Coach Wilson is making better progress than Coach Crean   We can hope anyway...   Ah. Not a fan of the bend but don't break idea. I followed ND football and Diaco would use that. Very frustrating style to watch. I'm really looking forward to see a change in philosophy and a competitive IU team in the B10 in a few years.

    End of Season Grade

    1) Nobody hates IU 2) Nobody is saying your opinion is wrong 3) This is a message board... meant for conversation. If you don't want to explain your views thats fine, but don't get defensive if people try to understand your reasoning. Thats all.    Go Hoosiers!

Guys, how has the atmosphere at Alumni Hall been? I have some relatives who were there during the Knight Championship years and they said a game at AH is an absolute must for your bucket list, but is it still this way? I can't imagine the student section/fans being very excitable during this type of year.

    End of Season Grade

They count, but you have to admit that they are overshadowed by the crushing losses. Losing to an in state rival in Purdue sucks, and PENN STATE... Penn State? Really? People always tend to focus more on the negatives than the positives and the negatives this year way outweigh and outnumber the positives. Theres always next year, hopefully things pick up

    End of Season Grade

Has to be an F. No sugar coating it
  22. I admittedly am lacking in my IUFB knowledge. I know the offense was potent last year but handicapped by a god awful defense. Did we fire Mallory? Any idea who will emerge as the stars on this years team?
  23. I'll predict: 7-5, maybe 6-6 if we lose to Penn State. I don't think we should be worse than 6-6 hopefully its a year that ends in a bowl!     Aug 30 vs Indiana State WIN Sept 6 BYE Sept 13 @ Bowling Green WIN  Sept 20 @ Missouri LOSS Sept 27 vs Maryland WIN Oct 4 vs North Texas WIN Oct 11 @ Iowa LOSS Oct 18 vs Michigan State LOSS Oct 25 BYE Nov 1 @ Michigan LOSS Nov 8 vs Penn State WIN Nov 15 @ Rutgers WIN Nov 22 @ Ohio State LOSS Nov 29 vs Purdue WIN
  24. Thats the blind optimism we need!

    NIT Selection Show Thread

Sorry man. I'm calm... Don't want to make a bad impression. I'll try and convey my thoughts in a more appropriate/mature manner. Just disappointed with this year.
