    TOM CREAN FIRED

Fire tom crean! Whisky played about as bad as they will, and we still were only barely in it. And that was because of better defensive effort/performance. If we actually played D most of the year we aren't a bubble team regardless of injuries. Don't get me started on turnovers or the same junk offense. #cusswordfree

    Post-Butler Frustration Thread

I agree OG looked rusty Morgan played really well I think we beat this Butler team most nights, but they are (as usual) a very sound smart team. We are not. They shot lights out in the first half, we didn't. That was the difference IMO. Turnovers and such are Crean ball.

    Indiana @ Nebraska - Post-game thread - 1/2

It was an important win on the road for a team that may be improving. I stress may be...GO Hoosiers!

    Indiana @ Nebraska - Post-game thread - 1/2

OG was awesome and was last game as well. That is a positive. Bryant was very good tonight as well. I hope he continues to avoid fouls. That will be a key for this team. Rojo has had two poor games. I expect him to bounce back, but am more interested in him having a good game away at this point. Yogi played passive in the first half, but had a nice second.

    Indiana @ Nebraska - Post-game thread - 1/2

I assume this is sarcasm, but I'll address it any way. Troy gets 7 turnovers in 27ish minutes. Tonight he has 4. That is terrible for a kid that thinks he is a pro. I wish he was a pro. I wouldn't have to watch him dribble into traffic with no clue what the end result will be and turn it over next year. But again that is really on crean for even allowing these kids to play so sloppy with no leash.

Thanks for the quick response on the interviews!

That is way too many. 11 in two games... TW is terrible. He will be a senior here next year, still turning it over. Rant over sorry. Ps. That's why I haven't been posting this year.

Is there a dedicated spot that post game interviews with the coach and players gets posted? I'm without a pc right now so searching for stuff is harder

    12-13 vs 15-16

12-13 all the way. They were Hoosiers! This bunch is on paper very talented, and we will see if they can actually play ball. They lack the class that was so plentiful in 12-13. I will always root for IU, but this has been a trying couple of years, and I hate that creans job is based on this one group of kids and not the bigger picture. He has not had success.
  13. I wonder if  Crean was so soured by the upper class leaders because they were in the car too?   Otherwise I can't imagine him being so down on Troy and Yogi if they were not involved directly. It is certainly not their fault this happened, but on the other hand, if they were there and just not cited...

    Historic turn around for defense?

We need a historic turn around on D   I doubt there has ever been a chance to make such a huge turn around, but we need to be top 100 at least. I am hopeful, and doubtful that we will get there, but I believe in the team to make those strides. The talent is there.

UM Graduate Transfer Max Bielfeldt To IU

NZ was a good addition. If this guy can have that type of impact I am all for this pick up. I'm just not in a hurry to back filling those scollys for the sake of filling them. 6'7" 245 doesn't fit the Crean player profile, so I guess I am hesitant to think he will get much play. I'm sure there is a reason that a barebones Mich team couldn't find another spot for him, but I haven't looked at their recruiting class. I know Levert coming back had something to do with this, but lets not forget how terrible Mich was last year.

UM Graduate Transfer Max Bielfeldt To IU

Well, I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand I would like crean to just save the scollys and maybe give them to Walkons unless he can land a quality big man. On the other hand, if he is a character guy that will stay out of trouble and contribute in practice, I'm all for it. My concern is that he isn't going to be good enough to contribute much. If we get him I hope he proves that thought wrong.
  17. i think that is the point. Crean isn't getting the message across. Thus not teaching. I actually think that crean has allowed too much slacking even before this incident.
  18. I'm saying kick Devin and Hanner off the team from my keyboard/couch. Too many strikes! Get control of your team.   Or don't... I'm not a huge Crean fan so maybe his mismanagement of this will bring him closer to the ledge.

(2015) PG Harrison Niego to IU

In his video he looks more like a 2 than a point, but it seems like he can shoot pretty well, and is crafty. Welcome aboard.

How deep is your Hoosier fandom?

Basketball.   I will also see how the football team starts the year, but I normally don't have to see much of that.
  21. I'm not comparing yogi to TP or VJ3. I'm just simply saying his numbers are inflated because he was on a bad team, and he carried the scoring load. He has a chance to redeem himself as an all time Hoosier. That is up to him. I don't care that his bad year wasn't as bad as vj3's. Vj3 didn't have a lottery pick backing him up.
  22. You were talking about padding stats on bad teams. How can you argue Yogi did anything different during that season. It is very relative.
  23. yogi was on the team with vonleh that missed all post season tourneys. That's a pretty bad team, and I think that was a year that yogi scored quite a few of his points.

    The Next Step

I've lost track, how many need to go now that Yogi is coming back? If only one my guess would have to be April, but it seems that neither Priller or April have any desire to transfer or I am guessing they would have already.

YOGI--You Stayed! Now Lead Us To Glory!

This will be interesting. I am really excited for next season. I like the players we have assembled, but I have to wonder if this will be the most pressure that Crean will have had to succeed so far. Now that Yogi is back we aren't quite as shorthanded at the guard spot.  Go IU!
