Mich does play hard. And they play better defense than we do. Even if Walkons are getting playing time. Thing about defense is it is useful in keeping you in games you have no business being in. See iu/wisky

Improved defense...Maybe we are ranked 240 in defense after this fine performance We should have blown that Mich team out.

We played our normal bad defense against a depleted Mich team and let them stick around. Officiating was suspect at the end, but I would not say we played well or the officiating kept Mich in the game.

That's true for sure. I thought Stan played maybe his best game of the year today. Not that that is saying much -

I just hope the Hoosiers can go out and get a decisive win and get some confidence back. I think I have given up on this teams defensive capabilities, but we need to bring the rest of what we do well.
