Thoughts on WSU Coach Gregg Marshall
ashmgee replied to Feathery's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I don't think we get Stevens, and I'm not sure that Stevens would even be any better than a guy like Marshall other than the fact that he is a Indiana native. -
Thoughts on WSU Coach Gregg Marshall

His teams play the type of basketball that win championships. I think if he could recruit at a higher level at a school like Indiana he would be more than an upgrade, although at this point anyone would be an upgrade. -
Thoughts on WSU Coach Gregg Marshall

I doubt we end up getting him, but I would be very excited to get him or another one of these guys that play good tough fundamental basketball. I've seen enough stagnant dribbling offense and complete lack of defense -

All I have to say is GO Hoosiers!!!!! We have shown that we are potentially a very dangerous team, and we are due a couple good shooting nights. -
I think the NIT decided to skip us last year unless I am forgetting something

Ha, I hate watching IU lose, but I see what you are saying. Doubt it happens though -

At this point though we should have a NSFW sub forum to bash Crean's coaching. Just saying...It would make your jobs more manageable. Plus if you named it Crean is a punching bag or something, I'm sure the sunshine pumpers wouldn't want to click the link -

um..... Thread title should be different, but out coach should too. I really am not sure what else there is to say about that, unless a person likes watching Indiana lose. -
Iowa vs Indiana Official Post Game Thread

This team is spiraling downward for sure... -
I don't think Crean is going to lose his job over the matter though..
-
If we go 1-1 though the next games I would be shocked. Both teams are capable of playing defense, and that is one thing that is not different on the road. Unless we are shooting lights out we will lose the last two games. Can we win the B1G tourney to get into the dance.....No

6'4" Guard Nick Zeisloft joins Hoosiers
ashmgee replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Nicks shooting was the thing that kept us in this in the first half. With our lack of D , and terrible free throw shooting, you would almost think we were trying to lose this game. Thank you ZZZZ for giving us a shot.. The second half. WOW. Even ZZZ can't overcome D that bad, and the fact that we don't score more than 8 points in 16 min. -
I loved seeing April and Priller in there!

I agree 100% Thank you staff for the work you put in.

Crean knows plenty about coaching undisciplined basketball. He knows nothing about coaching defense. I've wanted him gone for the last two years, and realize that is not going to happen until his buyout is more reasonable. As far as Bo Ryan's team, yes I wished IU played more like them. They may not contend for a championship this season, but the are in much better position to do so than Indiana.

Hoping the crowd shows up and it is a madhouse in there. GO Hoosiers!

You can take the Max out of California, but you can't take the California out of Max That being said, I do believe that livestock should be treated humanly.

I'm not sure Hartman or holt or Hanner guarding a guard is a mismatch that does us any favors. I get that yogi plays hard and I admire that, but to your point it may not be an execution fault...a poor coaching fault it is. There is no way our smallest player guarding an opponents biggest player is an advantage to us. This team is flawed, and that is not creans fault entirely. Luke leaving hurt us bad. There is still IMO no excuse for this team to rank so bad defensively. No matter how small they are. They can be fun to watch at times...when the shots are falling. Luckily most games are played at home going forward

Switching screens lands yogi guarding the 5 spot. That is avoidable. I understand that we are undersized, but that is no excuse for bad defense in general. Bigs are going to score on us. There is no excuse for dumb mismatches and open driving lanes. I am glad we got the win today. Don't get me wrong about that. It is just frustrating watching sloppy poorly coached basketball, and rationalizing why it's ok. It's not ok. If the big wasn't way down this season we wouldn't be sniffing the tourney again.
-
Your right baby bull. Inside scoring kills us. The problem is most of it comes from wide open driving lanes, not dominate post play.

I reference that if we played defense we may have been in that game.
