I think you’ve lost your mind. Archie couldn’t even make the NCAA tournament. Archie train was ran out of Bloomington for incompetence. Regular season definitely matters. Doesn’t mean upsets don’t happen in the tournament. That’s what makes the tournament so fun and special.

Candidate Thread: Porter Moser

He isn’t reliant on a single player and the rest being scrappy. His teams actually run a fluid offense with movement. Also a top 3 defensive efficiency in Kenpom, without running a gimmick pack line. -

Unless they make another Final Four. Then it’s similar to Stevens at Butler. The Bracket is set up for a good road for Loyola to make a run at the Final Four. -
PAC-12 seems to be a bit better than initially thought.

The movement off the ball is impressive. Moser is growing on me. -
If Moses is available, you sign him today. His resume is all-time elite. Parting of the sea, freeing his people from slavery, etc. ELITE.

2021 NCAA March Madness - Indianapolis
Feathery replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
This dude Loyola picked up from the YMCA smoking a cigarette is making Kofi look bad. -
His last 4 seasons have been excellent. He is only like 52 years old. Maybe he figured it out.
-
Then why does he have a 54% win pct? He isn’t elite. He has been better in recent years but he has been a head coach for awhile now and is 54%
-
It only took him 2 seasons to get that 20 win season as well. Meaning it doesn’t take him 4 years to get his team to a quality level.

He has a long mediocre resume, 54% win pct. His last 4 years have been good though. Still only 52 years old. Maybe he has figured things out and progressed is abilities. -
If it is Woodson, he better get Lewis in here as his top assistant to help with the transition to college. He will need a top staff from day 1.
-
Yup. Which is why I am ok with a short term guy like Beilein. He would win in year 1. An up and comer might not. Though I prefer Beard, Musselman, or Drew.

Only works with a top notch staff.

Back channeling to Beard is probably one of the easier back channels for Dolson. Just call Pat Knight to be the intermediary. -
But is he healthy

Candidate Thread: Scott Drew (Baylor)

You would quit watching if it’s several people it seems. Why not support the new coach whoever it is until they have proven they can’t get the job done? -

Think his defense’s are good enough? He clearly knows offense. -
Candidate Thread: Scott Drew (Baylor)

Even after he kept an assistant on staff for years after threatening to have a high school aged Hanner Perea deported back to Colombia if he didn’t choose Baylor? Doyle has already stated expect him to go after IU and Drew if he is hired. So plenty of negative press locally that should do wonders for recruiting of Drew is the guy. Question would be, could he overcome the early negative press and be successful at IU? -

Great. Doesn’t mean he would come. Just means there is competition. -

So then we are talking about hiring Alford.. -
Candidate Thread: Brad Stevens (Boston Celtics)

Why or how would he be forced to deny it? If he really wanted out he could have just said hey I want to go but I have a contract with the Celtics, so I’m staying. That would be enough to get him out. He didn’t instead he has this weird masshole thing. Just odd. -

Oh he isn’t coming. But just the body language and tone seems like he wasn’t comfortable. -

2 years ago the word was Beard wants the San Antonio Spurs job after Pop retires. So we should take Beard off the list too? -

He didn’t seem comfortable saying any of that. Definitely wasn’t natural.
