(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
raorIU replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
"There's no better place to play than your backyard" - that's a solid quote. If TJD came up with on his own, kid probably has a nice fallback career in advertising! -
Considering the short bench, injuries and fouls, a 10 point lead at half is quite alright. Worried about fouls in 2nd half - might get very ugly.

My typical connection for tickets is no longer an option. But, I'm spoiled having sat in row 15 area for the past years. StubHub and so forth seem to be very pricey below row 30. Any suggestions where I could look for more/better options this season than StubHub, Ticketmaster, and so on? Is Reddit a viable option? Thanks!

Purdue's capacity to fail is amazing. Two weeks in a row an idiotic unsportsmanlike penalty at the end of the game. This one may decide it like last week as well. Sad as I'd prefer they have a better record when we beat them later this year.

Aaron Hernandez, Zach Smith - wonder what "second chance" Urban will be unleashing next? Kevin Wilson DUI+manslaughter?

Indianapolis sports talk radio, FM 97.5 in the PM. Schultz is an IU grad, definitely knows basketball as well as any other ardent IUBB fan would. Query is substantially embedded in all things Indiana sports (calls Indycar races on IMS Radio for example), and also knows basketball as well as any other born-and-raised Hoosier. So, all that considered, either that was a bad interview or the St. Mary's poster is off-target.

Green actually missed Rojo open for three in a similar area twice earlier in the game. Is he unable to see to the left? Sent from my Nexus 5 using BtownBanners mobile app -
Dies the Fire is good, I swear the TV show Revolution is ripping the book off. I wouldn't read the series past the third book. It changes to fantasy and isn't very good in my opinion. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BtownBanners mobile app

Bradley is an embarrassment. I haven't seen a decent international match from him yet. Is his MLS play that stellar?

I let mine sit in the basement because I couldn't throw it away, even though it does taste like cough syrup. After 5 years, in a bit of a desperate evening, I broke back into it. It was awesome! So, stick it in a dark, cool spot for a few years and see what happens. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BtownBanners mobile app

(18) Indiana @ Illinois - Game thread - 2/25 at 2100 EST on ESPN
raorIU replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It's the hype, all the hype -
1) Consistent, effective style play on both offense and defense with the ability to do so at any pace or location 2) Adaption to circumstance, whether that is maximizing player strengths or countering in game adjustments 3) Build a stable roster that is able to, or preferably taught to, conduct items 1 and 2 without an excess of off-the-court issues Candidates: Brad Stevens Brad Stevens Brad Stevens

I don't know if it is good this year, or even better, but Crean's substitutions are definitely different. He still obsesses with players coming out on a "good note", and I think this is mostly detrimental. But, as others have mentioned, he's finally started to use the bench to control poor play more effectively. My biggest concern is Crean's complete disregard for fundamentals - here and in other facets. Case in point is bringing Bryant back in w/ 2 fouls when we're up 15 in the first half.

Crean Recruitment in the Midwest?
raorIU replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I believe Crean recruits the Midwest too much, actually. The creepo vibe is too well seeded here due to proximity and exposure. The coastal kids only endure his visits a few times and few of their peers have any reference. Here, nobody wants to play for IU because Crean told them and their buddies he was up all night thinking about them. -
