So, Juwan's Coach [Chris Pilz] is following Coach Crean and The generic VandyMMB Official Twitter of Vanderbilt Men's Basketball. Scoreboard IU! Does Coach Stallings have a twitter account? So based on this it's gotta be IU! VandyMMB the Official Twitter of Vanderbilt Men's Basketball. WTH?????? Nice!

The strange thing I actually believe SMU is a bigger threat for Shake than OU . I went to SMU for my first 2 years of college before returning home to IU. I was there during the pony express and then death penalty years. That school had a decent soccer team which actually beat IU when I was there. The SMU players were all wearing IU soccer jerseys that I guess they exchanged after the match. One thing not to discount SMU is they have basically forsaken their football program [June Jones Quit in frustration] and with Larry Brown as the head coach you could see how Shake would be interested. Dallas is not very far from home for Shake and Dallas is a pretty impressive city .Who knows how long Coach Brown will be there but his resume is tough to discount, and he has some talented recruiters with him . Plus there are some very deep pocketed alumni that for some reason or another are trying to make BB the new sport at SMU. All things being equal IU wins by a landslide BB wise but if family is this big of a consideration SMU might be a split the difference kind of choice. BTW Texas OU game is wild in Dallas. When I was there the City was basically left to the two teams fans. Rolling over cars, Drinking bars dry , basically the police force said to the locals stay inside until the weekend was over.

Charlie Miller had the most tremendous dunk against Purdue [ if only there was you-tube back in the day] and err that's about it. He Was a volume scorer in Florida but in Knight's system he was not a great fit. But I really liked him! I think he runs some BB camps in Texas. Maybe Dallas area.

Maybe clearing up the loose ends before visiting [ and committing to ] IU. Gotta give the hometown school a courtesy visit- He lives like 2 hour away.

I wasn't reading into that as much as I'm hoping the guy was being truthful. I was very optimistic when I saw Marni Mooney was following Juwan after his visit. Seemed like when the info was posted on the T.I.S. stuff with Juwan's parents accompanying him, the sentiment started to change along with the CB picks. I've read these "saw a recruit buying xyz school gear" before . And you're right, Juwan probably did buy some Vandy gear on that visit too. The internet is fun, fun, fun! "Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop drinking, sniffing glue etc "

The poster who was at T.I.S. is the only thing that makes me nervous about this. That's kinda hard to believe, but I want to believe it! I keep thinking that whatever Juwan liked about Vandy is probably still the same now! I'm hoping that the OV to IU sealed the deal for us and Wed evening can't come quick enough!

Marni Mooney is following Juwan . That's normally a big tell.

Wow! Gotta say I have a hard time believing that Alford would have any comment about Crean's future and timetables .

I think everyone is right to be skeptical and I don't have any clue as to what all the insiders know. [Today we picked up another IU CB pick for Shake FWIW]. I'm glad Juwan is on his way though, and at this point I'll just be happy with that.

This would be strange if that was the case. I mean Juwan has already been to IU for a visit so why come here again just to make sure about Vanderbilt? It would make more sense if he was taking this OV to make sure about IU not Vandy.

Brian Snow chimed in yesterday [on another board] that he had a source that said IU was in very good shape with Juwan. If Juwan doesn't last minute cancel his visit I would think we [IU] are in good shape with him Re: Juwan Morgan moves visit -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- According to someone I know very tied in to the MoKan program, IU appears to be in very good shape with Morgan. I agree with the over sign stigma. But you have to give the coaches the lee way to adjust to upcoming roster changes. Crean is not gonna come out and say a player may be homesick, struggling with academics or the system or whatever the case may be . He may have told a player[s] to do your best this year and we'll help you find a better fit program wise next etc. Crean also has the inside scoop on what scouts/Gms are saying about pro potential of our current roster.

That or we have a couple player going pro. Lotta things happen-[see Luke Fischer] etc.

Right, But Coach Crean could start fresh if he wanted to. I know that's not happening I'm just pointing out the "over sign" myth. Coach Crean know his program best and the Big Ten allows the coaches to make the signing decisions.

"I hope we don't scare him off with using our last scholarships. I know we can oversign by one, but if Morgan and Shake are a possible package deal, I would hope we have room for them...especially if they are ready to commit in the near future." Actually we can sign as many as we want up to 13 .

Like it or not, we are somewhat likely to lose one ,two, or even three to the league next year. [ steps into his flame retardant suit] . Last year if you remember Troy was projected in the 2nd round when he started off so well. Yogi is certainly a possibility and James surely thinks he gonna be one and done. And no I don't think any of the three are ready yet but I didn't think Noah was ready [ still don't] and I didn't see Vic going early either when he was a sophomore. Guys put in the work and can make a big jump as we've seen last couple years.

I'm strangely amped about this commitment and this years team in general! I think we're definitely gonna have an 'edge' about us and that was sorely lacking last year !
