Imagine what will actually happen which is the same trend everywhere Alford has already coach and then listening to Dakich try to defend his boy for years. He's a clown.
-
Man do I find him easy to dislike....he's a bully.

Ask Rothstein to repost "Death, Taxes, Matt Painter" a few more times. Ignore this tweet.

I've been all over the place with my personal list of "wants". It's hard to ignore the noise, however, one name I would love to see more buzz-around is Moser. His teams play with purpose and on his terms/strategy. When Butler was at Stevens, they played as the underdog. Moser has had way, way less talent and superior results. IU will never play as the "underdog"; we need what he's putting in his kool-aid. While he has no P5 experience, I'd love to see him at IU. I believe no matter where he goes, he'll kill.

Opinion: Mike Woodson is not a home run. He's not even a double.

I’m willing to take my lumps for introducing this but Robbie Hummel knows basketball. No experience and wrong side of the fence, I know, but he gets the game.

I like this list but feel like Matta's a proven 2 and is still young. His track record is very strong. Do you think Self could get away with the same crap he does at Kansas in Bloomington? The wind blows wrong and we're in trouble. His kids show up in Lambo/Ferrari/whatever luxury sportscar it was and nada.

Don't know who my #2 is, but give me any guy that can get his team to play as hard as Loyola Chicago and I'm ALL in. Out size, out talented, out everything versus IL....except determination and heart.

Candidate Thread: Brad Stevens (Boston Celtics)

Pretty sure he’s sick of getting lit up by childish grown men who accuse him of lying, so he’s taking a break. -
To be clear, what I believe is a wild a$$ guess, but you believe is the spoken word. Got it, thanks for setting me straight Brad.

Great question. I still have hope but don't know why. I don't understand Boston paying Brad all that money with the situation Boston is in. I also don't understand IU meeting the back-and-forth demands of a professional and then having said professional go back on his reported word to get a raise at his current job. Tacky if true. If you know a donor/donors stepped up for you specificall, and you gave your word, you keep your word. If....

I don’t think the timing changes things whether the announcement is today, tomorrow or next week. If the offer is real and there’s a mutual interest, how could Stevens possibly turn it down? It’s a MASSIVE pay raise, comes “home”, happy wife. Or…stay in Boston with what he has, leave 8 figures on the table while at risk of losing his job when the season is over? Prove me wrong. -

20K followers. At least has a bit of a hype train. -

JS, respectfully, what is he supposed to say? He's a GM. He can't show weakness or elude to problems. He's going to squash all rumors and move forward until Big Bad Brad either accepts or squashes this. I do fear with all the buzz right now it's going to have to be addressed by Brad sooner than later. -

Having patience right now sucks, but a couple of guys on this board are not throwing around speculation. Until they mention things are at risk of cracking, I'm taking a deep breath and letting this unfold. It's Stevens. Gotta forget about guys like Goodman (clickbait) and anti-IU media. And also crazies attempting to get to 500 followers. Trust in those who have provided repeated, credible information over a long period of time. The rest...it's just noise. If there's something we should know, @IUwins0708 or @Chris007 will know. Not that the chatter isn't fun, but my buddies are all ready to jump off a cliff because of some uneducated tweets. Trust. Trust. -

First national media person to post to my knowledge. And being buddies with Simmons...if it weren’t true he’d be lit up. -

I think it happens and it's relatively simple. It's a 25-year move for him with no downside. Hey, Brad - come home to IU, make $50M+, be a legend, and have access to anyone and everything you want. Or he waits and gets fired at year-end by Boston and then has to figure out what to do. Unless he just doesn't like IU (aren't his grandparents Alumni & season ticket holders?), he can fail and make $35,000,000. Help me understand the downside versus the risk of staying in Boston until the end of the season? I'm preparing for tears of joy or a broken heart. Both of which will have me drinking very soon. We don't want this...we need this. College basketball needs this IMO. -
I can’t even comprehend what’s going on with the Bears. Release Fuller and basically tell Hicks to leave.

I just want this to happen so I can tell all my Purdue friends "We got our Jeff Brohm". Yes, this is a joke. As in Brohm is their "second coming" and they're going to dominate football for decades. -

Since this thread is dedicated to the prospect of obtaining Stevens for many, many years and it's a lot of speculation, let's talk about what happens WHEN it happens. Name me a better profile than this for a CBB HC: Proven strategic coach that can win at any level (enter, Butler) Makes ballers out of players (Enter, Hayward) Beautiful in-game tactician Moralistic side of me: GREAT human NBA ties (hello, recruiting) Indiana kid with Indiana ties Strikes absolute fear into every program in the country, top to bottom Kids will be, in my opinion, lining up to play for him just based on how he wins and who he knows. He never had that at Butler. Could build the most powerful bench strength in assistants known to CBB Just thought this would be fun. Help me add to it...it will help pass the time. -

No players entering the transfer portal. Can't being to describe how big of a deal this is. Cincinnati only has 4!! players left on the roster due to the COVID transfer rule. Our guys can leave a failing program with no coach whenever they want. Why aren't they? Because they were told a grand slam is coming in (without naming him, of course) and they all have an idea of who it is. It's beyond speculation otherwise our mediocre program would be fully vacated right now. Truth.
