Be sure to get a reservation if going to Mama DiSalvo's. Another Italian restaurant on 5th street is Jimmy's. But take someone else's bank account. It is way too pricey. It is in the previous Franco's location. -
I gave up on New Year's Resolutions. I tried to jog once. Ice kept falling out of my glass. My wife says that I don't listen to her or something like that. My neighbor just banged on the wall at 4:20 in the morning. Can you believe it? Lucky that I was still up playing music. He yelled: Can I have a little respect? I said: OK, I like Aretha Franklin, too! This one's for you. My wife always wanted a milk bath for a birthday present. So, on her birthday, I went to the local dairy and told the manager that I needed enough milk for my wife's bath. "Do you want it pasteurized?" the guy asked. I told him: "No I think just up around her armpits will be about right."

Bill's Donuts: Bill's Donut Shop - Open 24 Hours | 7 Days a Week If you like sandwiches and a deli with an eastern Europe flavor: Charlie's Imports. Charlie's Deli & Catering They sell paprika by the kilo. I kid you not. Walk through the bread refrigerator. Do you like carryout sandwiches that are a little out of the ordinary? Dayton has an ethnic Eastern European history. They have a Polish Country Club...it is not known by that name. It is definitely not upscale. Amber Rose Restaurant I have mixed feelings about this place...I am not the biggest fan of the fare. -

If you like Columbian...try El Meson. South Dixie Dr., south of the UD arena by 5 miles or so. Interesting place and good food. Coopers Hawk is a little upscale and has interesting wines. South of the arena in Centerville. Figlio's in the Town and Country shopping center in Kettering has wood-fired pizza. Mama DiSalvos Italian... Jimmy's Ladder 11 is a bar with a big menu near the UD campus...but not too close. Eudora brewery, southeast, is decent sized and ok. For an historical brewery, right next to the UD Arena...across the river...is the Carillon brewery. Carillon Brewing Co. - Dayton History -

I will be back from my tropical island vacation on the 18th. The first four starts at the same time of my plane arrival. The UD arena in Dayton is a fun visit. Easy access. Good seats. Skip the Pine Club for something more fun...for restaurants. It is stuffy and only accepts cash. Lots of fun place on 5th street. Toxic Brewery is there but no food. I like the Dayton Beer Company. Thanks for the Bracketology information! And I agree...sure hope that IU does NOT play in Dayton. Hope they play anyplace else in the NCAAT. -

If nominated, I will not run. If elected... What is the offer? I promise to try to get us over that hump. Defense, great PGs, ball players, good scorers, wings that like to play defense, assists, teamwork, hit 3s, game plans, run faster jump higher...flying to the hoop, they just have to try harder. Mental over physical...will to prepare...banners r us! It's Indiana!! Spoiler alert: Scott and me...we go way back.. -

Arguing a technicality. I would tend to agree with Juwan Moye's point. If the excuse for Goodman's post is that a candidate is not someone who already accepted the position...Then Goodman may have been intentionally misleading while being technically accurate but imprecise. Misrepresenting something and calling it out is what Juwan Moye is going to celebrate. Along with the fact that Brad would be the new head coach. And the fact that IU would have put itself into a much better position for success. Celebration is the operative word. Not a technicality. That would be a personal foul. Keep arguing and it will be upgraded to a Flagrant 1. /s -

I read that it was auctioned and had Knight's autograph on it. It was sold for a charity. -

Leal and Furst were going at it. Leal was pulled down and Furst and Leal both were slapping and holding. Furst did kick hit Leal and Leal retaliated. Good no foul. That or a call on both players. Messy as hell. -

I heard that if Woody's IU team does not beat Purdue at SSAH today...that Dolson is considering getting Woody to retire at the end of the season. Has anyone else heard something similar? I also heard that if the game is close at the end of regular play, that Coach Woody may just let our PG Miles Rice take the ball and with blinders on will make a last second shot towards the lights as he is flying towards the locker room. And someone got into my stash... POTFB -

One would automatically think of TV Teddy. He was...ahem...controversial in his calls and making himself bigger than the game. But no. The year was 1985. The Season on the Brink. Purdue was at Assembly Hall. Bob Knight was not happy with inconsistent travel calls. So, he expressed his displeasure. Phil Bova, Fred Jaspers, and London Bradley were the referees. Bradley let Purdue get away with travels and called it on IU. Reports of RMK throwing chairs in practice...or his plaid coat. Knight got 3 Technicals in a row. He was ejected. Got a standing ovation from fans and a chant: Bobby! Bobby! Purdue Coach Keady stated that he had been scared of what might happen after RMK left the floor. The crowd was the loudest he had ever heard. Bova, a retired Big Ten referee from Northeast Ohio, officiated many games with Knight. Bova said that Knight was the best basketball coach ever and that he intimidated many people. Bova wrote a book about his experiences called Throwing Back the Chair. -

Did RMK get many strikes when bowling? That chair toss picture is a classic. He is in rare form. Trivia question: What referee got RMK's ire for bad calls that day? POTFB -

I don't see IU's coaching selection process as goody two shoes moral preening. I see it as really bad decision making. Moral preening had nothing to do with Sampson's firing. It had everything to do with lack of oversight and bad decisions in executing damage control when stuff hit the fan. But hey, we all want IU to win. And I can understand the point you made. We need a winner. And no one is perfect. But if they hire someone who has a history of straying. Then they need to do some serious oversight. And have ramifications if IU is going to get sandbagged. Remember, IU gets a lot of goodwill out of sports wins. It goes the other way when politicians start defunding education when they see things that they can weaponize. Avoid that please.
