It still does not equate to rape.

That is a false equivalence on a couple of levels. First, the fanbase didn't 'accept' a coach that (had) crossed a few lines. He was the coach. Then he crossed lines. And the fan base did not accept his statement. Some thought that it was a setup. Some thought that it was out of context. Some thought other things. Some thought he was a bully and/or condoned rape. Some just used the incident one way or another. Some thought he was a bigot. Others thought he was a very giving and loving person. Some thought he was complicated and had a lot of issues that others could use for or against him. And he was definitely set up by Connie Chung to say such a thing. If one knew Coach Knight, one would know that that statement, while terribly ill advised, was literally not Coach Knight's position on rape. Chung pushed Knight's button to get that soundbite. She was good at that. Knight got outmaneuvered and fell into the trap. He tried to shock her. She was the pro and used him. A lot of unfortunate statements can be taken out of context and used against a person. It is done all the time by those that use rhetoric, misinformation and misdirection. Also, some can cover their feelings by saying it was out of context and misinterpreted. Coach Knight was not smart to say such a thing. He did backpedal later. But, some ignore that. And his excuses were kind of lame. And use of the word rape is so inflammatory and really hard to take back. Or we have done things that were ill-advised and against social mores. I say the false equivalent really is not compelling. And, as far a Coach Knight is concerned. Few of his public actions that were bad form. He was responsible for his actions. The administration did not use corrective discipline on him that were effective. He was run out of Btown because of both. He never learned that he could not do whatever he wanted in that position of not only being a coach but representing Indiana University and that State of Indiana. He got raped. He did not lay back and enjoy it. IU basketball got raped. We are still, in part, suffering from it. Gee, do you see what I did there? Do I mean it literally? /s

Clearly, the better team is not going to be in this game. NA lost to MSU by 9. So I have IU winning by 2...just because. I feel that Cupps' is due for a breakout game...he will score one FG and 2 frees for a total of 4. Xavier continues to prepare for the Little 500. Ware plays well for 8 minutes or so. Then it's tipoff time. Reneau may be fouled 6 or 7 times but he will be called for 4, again. Mgbako will get 6 rebounds and score 8....but no 3s. And after making a great play he will foul someone...rinse...repeat. Galloway will still not get a haircut. And that is not a bad thing. And as long as he does not use a headband...IU will have a chance at winning. Walker, Banks, Gunn, Leal and Sparks will all come off the bench. But hopefully, not at the same time. One of them might score in double digits. Coach Woodson will get a win. I really hate getting new clothes, especially pants, that have this thread that sticks out and you pull it and it keeps coming and then it can snag or is attached to a part that doesn't seem to have any use so you pull and pull and then you notice that maybe a pocket is coming unravelled or maybe it is along an seam on your new blue jeans and then the seam sticks out and then you can't fix it or don't want the item anymore or if it is the right blue jeans and maybe it will be ok but it isn't...what?
