Not so well on the most recent 2 games. Teams scouted Auburn and defended the 3. Auburn lost on the road 3 days ago to Appalachian State by shooting poorly. Hmmm... IU keeps getting better. But this would take a jump like Ware, Oladipo and Moye together. It could happen...I just changed my prediction in a subsequent post.

I learned from all of the debates that I don't watch...answer the question that you want...not the one that is asked. And a Final Four of just Big Ten universities would be a riot. I'd pay a dollar for that.

This flawed IU team never gave up. Players down the bench are all starting to get it. More rebounding by others than Ware helps. Defense is better, too. A tip of the ole toupee to Coach Woodson for calling a couple of timely timeouts. Did you see the way that IU was covering the 3-point shot? Cupps makes me laugh. Only because he is steady and a freshman on the road in the Big Ten conference games. He does seem to get the ball into the flow of the offense more quickly than X. Nice. Sure, there were turnovers and missed assignments; but, overall there is marked improvement in communication and knowing what to do and when. Reneau needs to not foul. Ware needs to not foul in the first half. Ware needs to know what to do if and when he is doubled or cannot get open for a pass. Standing around on offense is a killer. Hit some free throws down the stretch and IU is a tough team to beat. But we shall see. Once they ran a couple of plays for individuals, things clicked again. Everyone scored. Everyone contributed.

Let's take this game! Get it to Ware.

Michigan seemed to change IU's flow with their best defensive play of the game. This:

I am watching Wisconsin. Do you want to see my Wisconsin Engineering diploma? I really could not go to Purdoo. I am not that interested in sheep. I was one of a few that every basketball game in the early 80's up there...was attending Wisconsin while cheering for Indiana.

I heard that that would not happen. Different streams, evidently.

This Friday, Indiana (5-1) begins the journey into the Big Ten Conference season by hosting Maryland (3-3). Maryland has lost to Villanova, Davidson, and UAB. They play Rider at home Tuesday night. Last Saturday, Maryland won against South Alabama 68-55. They struggled from the 3-point line for the whole game in their worst showing from there this season. In the second half they went inside. Only four Maryland players scored. These guys scored...Reese, Scott, Young and Geronimo. Maryland overcomes slow start to defeat South Alabama - Testudo Times Do not ask why Pomeroy has Maryland at 57 and IU at 75. (Spoiler alert: Could be Coach Woodson's brute force platoon substitutions for long-term seasoning. That stops any padding of scores and may affect Pomeroy standings this early in the season. Pomeroy does not mean much until later in the season.) Thinking about Xavier's injury. And Reneau's back. And Ware's performance in the Big Ten. And hoping that Cupps grows lots taller in the next few days. Did you notice that Galloway played the most minutes and scored 4? And Mac played 31 minutes and scored 18!

Is Xavier in or out tonight? I haven't read anything in a few days about his injury.
