Doubt it. Coach Woody brought his bag of silver to pay the refs. We have finally joined the rest of the world and face up to the fact that $$$ can in fact make things better for those that have it. It's a different world we live in. Welcome to Moneyball! -

While I yearn for Phin to play his best ever, I just do not see it. Hitting a bunch of 3's in one game and not turning over the ball is really good. Certainly if it is matched with moving the ball quickly and getting steps on his defender. But that only happened once recently. His two concussions and hurt ankle and maybe hurt leg are not minor injuries. They essentially ended his and IU's season a couple of years ago. He has never really recovered fully after them. Seems lots of posters blame Archie Miller. Well Archie did seem to encourage the taking the air out of the ball at the top of the key possession after possession. And the messed up lineup didn't help Phin progress either. No ball movement drove all of us crazy. I just hope that X stays in the game and plays within himself. And Phin is an asset. I will believe all that when I see it. But Phin seems the least negative in his position on this team than others that are on the bench. Hopefully that will change somehow before the season ends. I mean soon. Like today, perhaps.

On other site it was reported that TJD tweeted he will play against PU and that he is ok. And I'm starting a rumor that X will keep his cool, that Phin will hit 50% of his 3-pointer and not dribble the air out of the ball, that Galloway and the rest of the team won't turnover the ball ever again in the last 7 minutes of any game. Take it to the bank. Beat lil brother like a rug! -

My family and friends are fired up for this game. It isn't a trap game. Every game in the B1G is important. Go IU! Just stuffed the empty bottle of EJSM bourbon in the recycle. Yeeeehaaaaw! Put me in, coach. *For Nebr @$$ ka... -

I hope to heck that won't happen. He is recovering from a broken bone in his foot. Right? I'm guessing that he will be able to jump like me. Cut like me. Shoot and defend...ah...well, you get the idea. -

Here it is, the middle of the basketball season. We are all wondering what will be the legacy of this team this season. In the last 2 decades the wheels had come off of the IU basketball program. This season, with the coaching staff here today, we knew that it would be some time to rebuild. But we were hoping that lightening would strike and make IU in the top tier of the B1G. Right? Well, no. Without very good to excellent guards, IU cannot compete with the best of the B1G. Not today. Not ever. So there we have it folks. I hope that X and Phin and the other guards bring home the bacon tonight. I'm saying that seems likely. But, as far as the rest of the season goes. Our guards have to get better and execute well each and every play. Each and every game. Or IU is again going to take a bath come the NCAAT. Hoping that Tamar keeps getting better. Hoping that Lander figures it out. Hoping that X never gets 2 fouls in the first half. Hoping that PS makes most of his shots. Kopp needs to kick it up a gear. TFG and Race need to use The Force. And Woody needs to wear his suit and not substitute the whole 2nd string in for 5 minutes midway through the first half. The whole team needs to run plays early to stop the slow starts. Defense means stopping the other team and shutting them down...every play. And put 2 halves together like they mean it. And win, baby! -

If Coach Woody would wear a suit at Nebraska...would he look like Winston Churchill? (Answer: Close but no cigar.) Coach Woody casually walks into arenas for away games. (Because he isn't wearing a suit. Duh.) He really should wear a suit jacket and pants to match. The vest is yet to come. Thank you. Thank you. I will be here all week. -

Got some small batch bourbon to unwrap tonight. Nothing super special there except for Indiana getting rid of the road hurdle. Prediction: X plays a decent game. Doesn't go crazy on 3 attempts. Nor does he get pulled for 2 fouls early. Phin keeps gaining confidence. The home team guards switch from their colors to Black and Blue...and play like their shoes are 3 sizes too large. PS does ok. Race gets a double double. Trayce gets happy and gets happier. Galloway and Geronimo do their thing and how. The home team best player goes off the court and last is seen walking off into the night mumbling something like: Rebound?! (or) Reboot?! (or) Refund?! And Coach Woody wears a suit! (Red and white striped Speedos?) -

Indiana fans really do know the game. And we have to teach our offspring how to play the team sport. Setting the WAYBAC Machine to 1993, I took the family to Assembly Hall. At the half, I was telling my 6-year old daughter about defense and movement and etc. After a really decent introduction to how to play the game...I asked if she had any questions. She said: "If that guy over there comes up and asks if you want popcorn, could you say yes?" -

Just a courtesy reminder...this thread is not the prediction thread. But, I do agree that IU has a really decent chance of winning. I just want to know how to find which players are likely to suit up. Been on some Iowa fan sites and haven't seen anything about players being ready. Just Iowa fans lamenting that Iowa needs work on shot selection, defense and rebounding. And they are very, very worried about IU winning. -
1. Luther Allison's 1973 straight Chicago blues album: Bad News is Coming. Underappreciated Luther Allison played at the Bluebird in B'town in 1977. Not innovative, but wonderfully committed. If you love Chicago blues..you just gotta do it. 2. Samantha Fish 2017 funky guitarist, bandleader and singer does raw blues with no regret. Belle of the West. Saw her trio in Henderson KY just last year at the Handy Bluesfest. Powerful guitar...oh my! It took off! So that fact may exclude her album from your list. But she has earlier ones. 3. Noah Wotherspoon, Dayton blues and delta blues is dynomite live. Mystic Mud 2015. In 2015, Wotherspoon received the Best Guitarist Award at the International Blues Challenge and the band placed 2nd in the finals. I've got the blues and I feel good. Enjoy.

Thinking of filing a lawsuit...against Woody and the IU Athletics Department. Temporary injunction is sought to force our coaches to wear suits at all men's basketball games that they represent Indiana University. I'm seeking funding for the lawsuit. That or any IU fans that are lawyers...speak up. Contact me at #BeatIowaintoaPulp... As an aside, I wonder if a plaid sports coat would be adequate...
