Yep, three turnovers before 10 minute mark. -
I didn't bring up Dakich but I responded when his name was brought up. Its not his fault where our program is obviously. Its just time for Crean to say its his team, coaching, and recruiting. He won't be fired during the season unless more arrests, but he will after the season just like Muschamp at FL.
-
I am happy for the Priller too, but not at the expense of our program. He gets a full scholly and can't outplay at least two of our walkons that I saw. It is humourous there were some making fun of my hyper comment about saving our schollies and finding walkons and I witnessed it. Yes, he plays at the best of his abilities, but IU is not where they are. Now, Crean will run off Priller because he can't play at this level. Will that make you feel he's living the dream just as all the project centers before him? Where's the upgrade in talent? Many say Noah was disappointment; give me a break.

How about the former players who left under Crean? Do you turn them off or the other former players who still support them? Your disappointed in Dakich and what he has become should pale in comparison to what has become of our school. Let's just pile on ole Dan cause its his job to right the ship for 3.2 a year. At least give the blame where its due. Florida wacked their football coach today. Not because he wasn't a good guy, but beacause he couldn't win enough. He had a four year record of 27-20. Sound familiar? But were in year freaking seven and you still want to give him apass and make excuses. Spurrier said a good AD wants a ten year hire for top coaches. Would you say we have been given a decent return in year seven based on what Indiana has with 5 banners? Florida football has 2 yet they can see when a coach doesn't have it. After 2012 it was obvious Crean doesn't have the chops. Quit blaming former players, alumni or fans; you're sounding like all the other 20 somethings who haven't witnessed it. Wake up the echos.

Looks like there will be 3 with you. Just because Davis finds pride in the program he couldn't when he led it, doesn't change the downward spiral it has become. I'm not blaming him entirely, as our presidents and ad's have been less than medicore looking for their next gig or finding the next coach by committe. He's at a place now where his talents can truly be appreciated. Didn't he win his conference last year? Maybe he can come back with his youngest as a package deal.

If you don't like what I have to say, put me on ignore. But calling me passive aggressive isn't even close champ. You will be easy to spot at the game as you will be the only one standing during Davis' introduction. I don't like Crean much, but at least he loves Indiana and what it stands for. Davis hated it all the way to his next stepping stone to the NBA. Oh, that's right, he got fired at UAB and is finally at his destination job at Texas Southwest Presbeterion State of the Blessed. Sampson even made it back to D1. It's great Davis seems content now; much like the General in a different way.

Could you call me a sunshine pumper? Maybe I should change my name to sccrean. -
Wow! I've never seen it that empty during a game.

Reality isn't negative. Their small guards pushed ours around when the whistle didn't blow first half just like Big play. Your crimson glasses will come off real soon against better and stronger teams. Our guards are young except Yogi and he still plays like a frosh in many ways. Did you see his tackle on JB on the fast break? Plus his shot selection is still bad.

Oops forgot about Yogi. Sorry although I don't think he's our best player. Yogi gets the short leash with RJ in after the first dumb turnover. Shouldn't take long. -
We don't have one of the best by a long shot. Z won't see but spot time as the season progresses; he just doesn't handle the ball well. JB2 won't get open looks and doesn't have the strength yet to drive like he did tonight. Yogi plays out of control still in year three and just isn't a good shooter. Teams will back off since he penetrates so well. Max H to me is the wildcard. Crean needs to get him a lot of minutes early. His size creates match up problems and he shoots and rebounds well. He surprised me the most although RJ steady play was impressive. Bottom line...were too young and too weak at guard play to be the best guards. Give it another year and we'll see.

He's trying to get run on this team. Obviously Crean knew he had handles by letting him run point. If they can't stop him, what better way to earn minutes. I'm trying to remember the last 6'8" point guard at IU and Bobby Wilkerson at 6'7" is the last. He creates matchup problems on offense and rebounds well which is what we lack. I don't see how you keep him off the court moving forward. Plus he shoots well and has confidence which some may call cocky. Combine him with Hanner, Troy, RJ, and JB2 and its our best 5. We still will get killed by legit teams but it gives us a best chance. Really a nice recruit from Crean. -
Watching two legit teams ball right now in UL vs Minn. So not considering them and just our performance tonight. 1. If we shoot this well we'll be a tough out. 2. JB2 & Rob J- both seasoned beyond their years although the beards and facial hair they look older. JB2 will have a harder time creating his own shot vs better comp. RJ just a nice player; good handles and happy to have him as a Hoosier. 3. Hanner much improved. He's still a work in progress, but he has a lot of talent when he slows down. If we really worked on an alley oop he would be good for 3/4 a game. I hope he continues to work hard. 4. Max H. - He's a starter imo. Good size, looks to score, rebounds, and handles the ball like a point forward. He has too many skills to not help early and often. Really a great recruit for Crean and biggest surprise for me. 5. Yogi-If he facilitates first the team will be more successful. He still plays out of control and in year 3 I'm alittle dissappointed. He needs to lead better. 6. Z-Like his fire and he shot well tonight. By B1G play I don't see him playing much but spot minutes. 7. April& Priller- slow and weak but size helps. April may help us this year if he can improve footwork. 8. Hartman-Impressed coming back from injury. He has a role with steady play. 9. Walkons- I agree they're upgrades and a couple can help. Nice job getting them on board. Positives...Looked good against a really bad team. Negatives...Turnovers and we are gonna get killed in B1G play and against top teams. I really don't want to play Louisville. Hanner is gonna get used. Top talent we are no match even with good guard play asthey don't stack up well either. Quickness another weakness as well as strength. We will live and die by the three and mostly die. But good game tonight.

I was actually impressed with H esp his ball handling. He plays with a lot of confidence and adds size which we need. I see him starting before the year is out; one game but a really nice player. -

Halftime break watching Louisville vs Minn. Two really talented teams. We have a long way to go. Both have size and speed. -

Hanner is vastly improved. First I have seen him this year. More minutes will only help, but our inside depth will be our weakness down the road. -

From my generation, Delray Brooks was easily the most overhyped player at IU. Granted that was before the internet so you rarely got to see thes highly recruited players player, which helped him. Do you know who his back court mate was after transferring to Providence? He's one of my top choices if a head coach change is made. How about their coach? -
I remember this article. It was a good read then and now. How he could not get Indiana's best talent is still a mystery to me. His tenure actually brought me to these fans sites...firemikedavis, scout, 247, hoosiernation, btownbanners. I think that's the right order. Its time Indiana gets back to prominance every damn year!

Time heals old wounds except for the General. The article left off many important facts like how he killed his future at IU with his recruiting in state. The infamous recruiting letter to Conley and His teammate. There was no mention either of his bailing on his team before he resigned and many other things. I always hated his offensive game plan, but overall I think his teams were better prepared to play over Creans. Believe it or not he was a better in game coach than Crean is. I also thought his in game antics were over the top(pounding his chair, storming the court) but little did I know they would pale in comparison. It must be something in the water here lol. His kids didn't graduate at UAB but his teams did very well. He probably got the shaft there. Overall, he's a good man and did his best here. It just didn't work out like many others.

I'll take the high road on this much like a lot of our current roster which has been proven. You can keep speculating on the three you mention as all will be remebered with legit banners and Hall of Fame honors. Something Crean will never achieve here. -

Not enough open schollies for the General to do that.As long as you were in good academic standing and could put down the bong, you kept your scholly. -

You assume we are worried at losing 100+ rated recruits. With only 3 of the top 15 recruits expected to sign in the fall, should I assume we may have a shot at better recruits this spring with a new coach?
