I don't think Scott wants the season to be "saved." I think he wants to rub Woody's, Buckner's, and anyone else involved, nose in this pile of crap. Make it as bad and as ugly as possible, so they have zero support from anyone and you can tell them to F off.

Since Mediocre Mike is being a PIA about leaving, maybe Dolson can just use the Office Space method — just fix the glitch. And go out and hire a new coach. Maybe mike will get the message. :)

Guys, keep dreaming. First, the assistants haven't be asked about interim status. Just doesn't happen with the head coach still employed. Not to say Dolson doesn't have an idea he may have shared who he would want to be interim. Second, nobody from outside the program is coming in as an interim. That would be insanely stupid for them. Third, Woodson is coaching until late Feb. at a min. when he announces his retirement at the end of the season. Sorry to be Debbie Downer. :)

Kind of why need a core of players who want to play for XYZ, no matter what. Indiana guys like Leal, Goode, and from what I hear, Sisley. Then supplement them with portal transfers to fill in needs and upgraded talent where necessary. Find guys who understand that it's about the team, and the money stuff will take care of itself if the team is successful.

I don't think he wants to. I think he wants all the clowns to see what they did to this once great program so they scury away in disgrace. He knows, with the right coach this thing is turned around in a few months.

Nah. Since Woodson won’t voluntarily retire he’s making him ride out this chitshow so nobody can claim he fired a good coach. He’ll be able to rub Buckner and company’s nose in it if they try to interfere with the next guy.

I think he’s coaching until they are mathematically eliminated from the tournament. So 11 conference losses. So end of Feb at least. Once he’s there, he announces his retirement effective the end of the year.

Just reflecting on the bracketoligsts who say we can get in with 10 conference wins. Ten is still “possible.”

I am not predicting. Just projecting. There are wins available out there. Whether they get them I make no comment, because yes I have seen them play. :)

UCLA, Penn St., Wash, and Ohio St. That gets us to 9 conference wins. We pick up one against the others, and we are NCAA bubble bound. The "math" still works folks. But, the Maryland loss is the first nail in the coffin.

Well if it's his last season, then what is stopping him and/or the administration from announcing his retirement at the end of the season? Seems like that is the path a least resistance. Relaxes the fans and probably quiets Assembly Hall. Allows the fans to move on and hit the "next coach" conversations. A light at the end of the tunnel thing.

So Woodson knows? :)
