2024 B1G Women's Basketball Tournament
theriverpilot replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
Those last 2 possessions were joy to watch -
I missed it too and also repent!
-
Equally as bad! Both have enormous proven success in their programs. Woodson could’ve learned something from both
-
Sounds like maybe Moren asked if he’d speak and he denied her in #4. I hadn’t heard that one yet and yikes if true
-
And didn't Doherty only get 3 seasons while on an upward trend? NC knew he wasn't the guy.
-
Sorry Ferris....

Gotta give credit to Mgbako. Dude has really improved his 3 point stroke the last 2-3 games -
This is turning into “billionaire imploding “ submarine status
-
Shhhh….hear that loud sound? It’s everyone else in the B1G cheering…..and probably laughing
-
My first thought to this was "who is the 3rd?", since only two names have dominated. Then it hit me that would be Woodson. Then I got sad again.

I'm marking this point in time now but Stu has been the most ardent supporter of May since the start of this thread. Mad props to him if the May hire becomes a reality, especially after Chris007's new info.
-
I feel so hip that I knew what FOMO meant!! Anyway, May would be a marked improvement although not that grand slam splash most are wanting.
-
Yeah, and I can't imagine the emails this poor lady might be getting right now. But for what it's worth, let's be nice to @KathywithaC and not run her off! I'm really appreciating her fresh insight to this madness
-
He's been on my sh*t list ever since he said he's a Mass-hole.
-
Both men are likable and appear to be fine people but that shield of likability will start to quickly thin the longer results aren't met. I thought Allen did good job of seeing the writing on the wall. I'm hoping Woodson can do the same before any of those bridges start to catch fire.
-
And looks like they might be working on destroying their own individual legacies as well from these latest developments.
-
Agree. Indiana was down 10 at half and then caught fire. Inconsistent play has been one of the knocks on the Woodson coached teams
-
Don’t be a jackass to coach and basically behave like an adult. 100% agree Correlating work ethic to when posts are made on the internet??? You lost me there.
-
Whether crazy or sane, I think it shows the tremendous amount of support the right person would get.

I understand that, but I feel I need to clarify that I don't believe that the actual head basketball coach for IU is on a traditional PIP per se, just saying I can see where has been approached by superiors that he's under a magnifying glass now.
-
That was my flimsy analogy to suggest that maybe Woodson is already a dead man walking. I've seen several times over the years if an employee is placed on a PIP, then their fate is doomed and that it's merely a documentation tool to CYA. Just spit-balling that maybe Dolson is doing the same thing. Covering bases.
-
More like promoted to the level of incompetence vs risen. “Risen” would imply it was earned and that’s not the case here IMO
-
It sounds like the classic HR putting an employee on a PIP. Rarely does the PIP work to the advantage of the employee.
