  Yep. He had my attention until the "classless fans" and "Kentucky NIT" part.  Not saying there aren't classless fans and that Kentucky didn't play in the NIT, but his spins on it are silly.

Normally I wouldn't even watch a BYU vs Ole Miss game, but it's the tournament and here I am glued to the TV. Side note: would love to have that Haws kid from BYU playing for us

Aha! Here it is. Thanks LIHoosier. Wasn't Hampton one of the 15 seeds to beat a 2 years ago? I think U of Evansville even hired their coach a few years later

I noticed 2 threads about Crean so I might be missing posts from others. Interesting stuff going on, no less. EDIT: the fact that there are 3 threads on Alabama's forum about Crean is even more interesting!

There are 2 or 3 posters that are adamant about not wanting Crean. The others seem almost giddy about the possibility

From reading a thread on the Alabama site, they'd love to have Crean.  Several telling statements in one post on why Alabama fans would be happy with Crean -  "Because he doesn't have to play Wisconsin, Michigan State, Ohio State, Maryland, Iowa and Purdue every night? Let's face it - the SEC isn't exactly a murderer's row of blue-blood teams with elite coaches. He also wouldn't be living under the microscope of a fan-base who think they're a 10 when they're really a solid 7. We don't really need him to have "more" success here than at Indiana. I'd settle for "as much."   Some others...   "We've qualified for one NCAA tournament in the last 9 years.I'd give the next coach one of my kids if he got us to a Sweet 16." "a sweet 16 every four years or so with making the tournament every year seems reasonable"

  I used to not believe in this stuff with the committee, but the past couple of years is starting to make me wonder.  The year we beat UK at AH, come tourney time we're in the same bracket for the rematch game in the sweet 16 This year, IU and Wichita St. with the coaching rumors circulating.  If WSU wins, then a bout with KU.  A potential Iowa and Iowa St matchup in the South.  Also, a potential to see what two 7 footers against UK and then a possible rematch against West Virginia.     There seems to be a purpose to several pairings.   Probably should've posted this in another thread too.  Sorry guys

  Regarding calling everyone "Crean haters"......just because some feel a change is needed at head coach doesn't mean the man is hated.  I get tired of seeing that.

And if Fisch is the one retiring, then why keep it secret? That would be something announced at the beginning of the season.

Crean makes a lot of money but man, what a pressure-cooker this must have been. If he does move on at seasons end, then I wish him the best.
