2015 Transfers and Early Entries
yogisballin replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Usually for a player that stays 3-4 years I have this same feeling for but not the same for me when it comes to perry -
IMO best option for him. Go back to Orangeville Prep for postgrad and reclass back to 2016. Also would allow him another year to work on obviously his grades, put on some weight, and work on his back to basket game. Don't get me wrong, this kid has tons and tons of potential. But also as a 4 or 5, he is no doubt a project right now. As a 3, umm well still maybe a project. Still would love to have him though.

yogisballin replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Just come on back for your senior season campaign! Don't forget about Senior Night as well Yogi, make it special! -
I agree with ya. I case you misunderstood me, this is what I should've said I guess. I love Holts motor. I was disagreeing with a previous post that someone had said that they thought holt would regress this season

2015 Transfers and Early Entries

I'd love to see most of these recruits kind of get together and talk a little and be like. Let's not go to pUKe guys! Look at the guys that didn't get better at UK. Alex Poy, Archie Goodwin, James Young, Darius Miller, Doron Lamb, Marquise Teague, DeAndre Liggins, Josh Harrellson, Daniel Orton, and oh yeah Andrew/Aaron Harrison. Can't say those guys are having "successful careers" in the league. Here is something else I thought was interesting to me. Of the 11 players that were drafted from Memphis, only 2 of those are having a long successful career and those are D Rose and Tyreke. So what am I trying to say? Kids, don't let this sleazeball fool you anymore! Go somewhere else -
I hope you are dead wrong on the regressing this season. If love the see the kid get better here at IU and stay all 4 years
-
I think what we need most is a player on the floor that everyone respects so he can be the team leader! Someone that holds this group together

Feel the same on this. Has anyone seen him in person? He just doesn't look anything close to 6'10 on tv. Like a lot closer to 6'8 -
Really good show guys. Will say this though, last season is terrible. Wasn't into it at all

Troy Williams returning to IU!!!!!!
yogisballin replied to HoosierSadaseci's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It's what I expected but it's hard to tell with the players now. Whether it be really bad advice from a family member/friend, or already failing classes and feel they have to go, or just scared of injury next season. -

I'd like to meet that guy. With me living here in the state, I have not met one that will admit that they think something is up with Cal! Just about all say that I'm jealous, which really gets on my nerves. Maybe I'm jealous of all the winning but not with all the all-Americans/win at all cost. You guys have no idea how bad I would love for the NCAA to come down on Cal and UK!! I'm sure that there are a bunch here that feel the same about this. The NCAA doesn't even have to touch Cal when they do this. Just as long as they hammer the program would be sufficient for me!! -

I agree with you and feel the same way but I disagree with Cody. Why is it different with him? Is it bc he was here 2 years instead of 1? Or was landing him at that particular time so huge for this program? Maybe it's a little of both, idk -
Born in '82 so I did not get to witness this greatness! That's pretty freaking awesome that IU went through that in the tournament if you are correct on this? What would the pUKe fans be saying if they had to go thru that?? I'm not even gonna go there myself. To be the best sometimes you got to beat the best! What were they expecting? Playing SEC caliber teams til the championship game? Come on now! The #2 Kansas in their region was pretty weak with a depleted frontcourt, and was perry Ellis not at 100% as well? Other than Notre Dame in that region, who else was there? Btw, I thought ND should've gotten the 2 over Kansas. And if Purdue hadn't gave their game away to Cincy, it would've been interesting to see what they could've done against them? Anyone else agree?

UK graduates players? Naw...cut it out

Here is an interesting read. If already posted my apologies. http://m.smh.com.au/sport/basketball/refugees-escaping-war-are-aiming-for-the-stars-20130810-2rovx.html

I'm rooting for Wisconsin guys. Even though I don't like Bo, I'd like to see them win. I like all of their starting 5! Other than Dekker was a McD's AA but was only recruited by Wisky, Valpo, Milwaukee, Northern Iowa, Northern Illinois and Bradley (this surprised me.) nobody was going after these kids for the most part other than your Mid Majors. I won't be terribly upset if Duke wins because I like coach K. Even when I was a kid, I liked him before I found out the Knight connection. As for my prediction, I think Duke wins! Defensively, they are playing at a really high level right now. Wish we could play that level of D here at IU!!!
-
That's what I thought?? Not one of your most heralded ones anyway? Not for this caliber of player anyway
-
Don't know if u realize this but that would mean that there would HAVE to be 3 MORE to transfer/ somebody pay their way or whatever. For us to sign 2 more. As for the assistant. Someone mentioned Dane Fife, love the idea. We sure could use him as I think it would help us defensively! We have got to get better there or it doesn't matter who we sign or bring back
-
Good for him! Like someone said here earlier, kinda glad he was hired at Texas so when we finally get rid of Coach. We won't look Shakas way. Hope he has success at Texas! Like his style just not his system if that even makes sense?? Lol
-
What I've been saying for years and people thought I was stupid for making such statements
-
No deflections are the most important stat now!
-
I've probably been one if the hardest of our team the past 2 seasons but this past season we had better than average talent. We have just an average talent in the frontcourt. Does it make those players less important, heck no! These players are just role players. That could potentially be the big dawg (E Holt)
-
Question will be, how hard has reality set in? And will he be able to over come it mentally? Having a Superb Sophomore campaign will really be up to him. Love to see the kid accept the challenge and get over the fact that he's got some work to do this summer to get to the pros! Work hard JBJ!!!

I honestly never got a good feeling about Goodluck last year. Not that I had any insider info, just a gut feeling really
-
That's fine. Seemed like on the older forums anytime someone would start a new thread you would get ripped for it so it's kinds the opposite here. Which I like
