Here is an interesting read. If already posted my apologies. http://m.smh.com.au/sport/basketball/refugees-escaping-war-are-aiming-for-the-stars-20130810-2rovx.html

I'm rooting for Wisconsin guys. Even though I don't like Bo, I'd like to see them win. I like all of their starting 5! Other than Dekker was a McD's AA but was only recruited by Wisky, Valpo, Milwaukee, Northern Iowa, Northern Illinois and Bradley (this surprised me.) nobody was going after these kids for the most part other than your Mid Majors. I won't be terribly upset if Duke wins because I like coach K. Even when I was a kid, I liked him before I found out the Knight connection. As for my prediction, I think Duke wins! Defensively, they are playing at a really high level right now. Wish we could play that level of D here at IU!!!

That's what I thought?? Not one of your most heralded ones anyway? Not for this caliber of player anyway
-
Don't know if u realize this but that would mean that there would HAVE to be 3 MORE to transfer/ somebody pay their way or whatever. For us to sign 2 more. As for the assistant. Someone mentioned Dane Fife, love the idea. We sure could use him as I think it would help us defensively! We have got to get better there or it doesn't matter who we sign or bring back
-
Good for him! Like someone said here earlier, kinda glad he was hired at Texas so when we finally get rid of Coach. We won't look Shakas way. Hope he has success at Texas! Like his style just not his system if that even makes sense?? Lol

What I've been saying for years and people thought I was stupid for making such statements

No deflections are the most important stat now!
-
I've probably been one if the hardest of our team the past 2 seasons but this past season we had better than average talent. We have just an average talent in the frontcourt. Does it make those players less important, heck no! These players are just role players. That could potentially be the big dawg (E Holt)

Question will be, how hard has reality set in? And will he be able to over come it mentally? Having a Superb Sophomore campaign will really be up to him. Love to see the kid accept the challenge and get over the fact that he's got some work to do this summer to get to the pros! Work hard JBJ!!!

I honestly never got a good feeling about Goodluck last year. Not that I had any insider info, just a gut feeling really
-
That's fine. Seemed like on the older forums anytime someone would start a new thread you would get ripped for it so it's kinds the opposite here. Which I like

I was thinking on Thursday or Friday this past week that I saw a post or on twitter that news would be coming out on Sunday that would blow the roof off!? Anyone else see this? Or is this something that I dreamed would happen? Or did I miss the news? I apologize for the new thread but seems though every time you bring up something in a thread that's not related to the title. That someone calls you out on it! Haha

I agree with you here! I used to get on that site daily for the longest time and I finally stopped a year and half or so ago. Never understood his love feat for Coach??
-
Could HMP be the next to transfer?? Wouldn't be crazy to happen esp if we land Bryant and def likely if landing Thon too! PT for him would be awfully hard to come by
-
Great point
-
Wouldn't RoJo be our backup PG? And he would be a weakness? Get outta here! Or is he in your start 5?
-
I remember watching Nike Hoop Summit last summer and seeing JBJ play, thinking. Man, He is going to have to improve ALOT, if he wants to be a one and done! No disrespect to the kid just my opinion. Also thought, he has to have a really big ego if he thinks he is ready now. He didn't play big minutes on that team and it was pretty obvious why. We Hoosier fans saw it all season long! If JBJ really is considering leaving early or transferring. Whatever the case may be. Then so be it. Let him walk! Could be addition by subtraction here. As of today, I have bigger hope and think there is more "potential" there with Robert. Said it all year long!

Still won't stop others from twitter/Facebook. I'm actually dreading it this year. Could be a long day! I may stay away from all social media this day!
-
Idk yet. I'll come back and answer after Yogi tests the NBA waters (that's apparently what he's going to do). Depends on who else transfers? And who we pickup for next years squad. After all else settles, then I'll answer lol

Things like this happens all the time. If others can get by with it, why not us?

(2016) SG Rawle Alkins to Arizona
yogisballin replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Ouch! Man I would sure hate to see this for the kid. This would be a shame if true. But he could still go prep route, right? -
Yes he did! My 12 year old was cheering for Zona and was yelling why aren't they fouling? Dekker with the dagger!
-
Instead of ending it with win a few games. Could've easily said and make some noise in the tourney or something along those lines. Completely agree with u here

that's exactly what i thought? wasnt ever impressed with his resume.
