He'll be kicked out of the NCAA before this contract is finalized -
I hate it when people put all recruits into the same category with things like "none of them care about tradition" or "they all want immediate playing time" or whatever. Not all recruits are the same. Some value different things than others, but none of them all agree on anything. Not a slam on anybody in particular, just ranting on a pet peeve. Some do care about tradition.

MSB Priller with Big Dallas Morning News Piece
Josh replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Excellent article, thanks. I didn't know about his shooting prowess, sounds like next year's team is going to have a bunch of them -
Colts have two Monday Night Footballs, two Sunday night footballs and a Thursday night. My wife just complained that the next days at work will be hell :)

That's a beautiful car! I've restored one too, but had to sell it about three years ago.

One thing Kentucky basketball and Alabama football prove
Josh replied to NotTheReal HoosierHoopster's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
From their 1979 title to their 2009 title they were largely irrelevant. They had that one year in the middle (1992) where they broke through, but the rest of those 30 years were largely disappointing. -

Alabama football had a 30 year span recently where they were consistently average. There was lots of talk about how they were a has been program. They went through 7 bad coaching hires in a row. Don't act like they've been a constant powerhouse. They had a long rough stretch. Every program does. -
Players get paid. Not only with free college, fame and exposure, but I'm 37 and still have multiple years of student loan payments left. These payments equal a car payment every month. I'd love to be rid of them. Instead, I had to pay for college. These athletes who get a full ride have no idea of the impact of it. Heck, I'm way jealous of people whose parents paid for their college. Student loans are an anchor. These lucky scholarship athletes need to understand reality Sorry, rant over. :thankyou:

Ever heard of Accel clubs? I got them for high school graduation...20 years ago. I'd like to get new ones, but they cost more than I care to spend for the results I get.

Josh replied to Hwy 1's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
That's kinda funny. But why did they do the FSU chant too? -
On Yogi’s Recruitment and the Impact of Social Media (Plus a Message to the Naysayers)

Excellent post. I enjoyed reading this very much. :) -
I go about once a month. I'm actually playing hookie Tuesday with a friend to hit the course. The boss is out of town, the workers will play. Lucky for me, my job keeps me out of the office every day so it's easy to sneak off whenever I like. It's also good to live in the only warm state in the country the last few weeks, the courses are always open.

Baseball's not a sport, it's a pasttime. But I hope IU crushes all the other pasttime teams!

You and I have different definitions of a 2 guard. Perhaps we're from different generations. When I played, a 2 guard was known for his shooting. A good 2 guard could make a shot from anywhere on the court. It was the primary definition of a 2 guard. Since Stan can't hit a shot outside of two feet, but he's a good slasher, he fits the definition of a 1. On our team, Yogi, Gordon and possibly Sheehey would fit the definition of a 2 guard better than Stan imo. Stan plays more like a 1 in my book. Ironically, I wonder what would happen if Stan was the 1 and Yogi was the 2?

2 guards can hit outside shots. I see Stan as more of a 1.

I think Troy played great against Michigan State. He seemed to play with determination that we hadn't seen before. Keep feeding him minutes :)
