  1. These things annoy me.  "Alumni" is plural for alumnus or alumna.  When somebody buys a license plate frame that says "Indiana University Alumni", it darn well be for a car owned by two or more people.  If it's just one person....well that's just bad grammar.  And if you truly were an alumnus, you're shaming your degree.   Also, keep your damn kids off my lawn.   Happy Friday, now go fix your license plate frames.  Use a sharpie for my sanity please.
  2. Or it could help people see that there is a trend here.  There are a lot of uncommitted, highly ranked kids.  Many of which will be available when we're taking commits.  I swear some people are just "glass half empty" people.

    Off Season Progress/Notes

Right and left handed....nice!!!   Blackmon traveled before his shot....
  4. If he does commit to Duke, it isn't the end of IU recruiting.  It isn't worth a "sky is falling" thread.  We move on to the next one.   I guess I'm frustrated by the posts that say how terrible we are at recruiting after somebody commits elsewhere, after four straight top 10 recruiting classes.  If Leaf goes to Duke, we'll get somebody else comparable in the recruit rankings.  No reason to claim that Purdue will outrecruit us (blasphemy and I'll bet heavily against it).   That said, come to IU Leaf!  We're awesome.

    Alumni license plate frames

First I have to stew on it for a week or two, really let that fire burn, then rant my frustration all over the off topic forum.  Keep throwing them coals, dipo....

You're setting yourself up to be my next rant
  7.   I'm not knocking him for being a great recruiter.   I praised him for it.  It takes more than that to be a great coach though.
  8. So does he coach....or manage egos?  I guess I like to think of great coaches as somebody who wins despite not being talented.  Somebody like Bob Knight or Bo Ryan.  That's coaching.
  9. Calipari is a great recruiter, perhaps the best I've seen.  But with all that talent, who couldn't win games?  I don't think he's a great coach, he just has great talent in a poor conference.   My choice would be Coach K, maybe Bo Ryan, maybe Billy Donovan.

(2016) PF De'Ron Davis to IU

Link from a Jeff Borzello article   Davis came away from his Bloomington very impressed. "Indiana had one of the best facilities I've seen so far," he said. "Just the way they develop players is pretty good. They help make kids into pros. They develop their bodies. I can get fast easily, but they develop kids into pros and their bodies change dramatically." Are the Hoosiers in the lead? "I don't really have a leader leader right now," Davis said. "Indiana is one of my favorites just because I went up there and saw the facility, and I have a great relationship with the coaches."

    What Would YOU Do?

Playing for IU would be a dream to me.  But to saddle myself for four years when I could go elsewhere for one year before the NBA....I'd choose the quickest path to be a millionaire.  Just like I would with every other venture in life.  One and done baby, hopefully it's with IU.
  13.   Nothing against you, but I promise they do.

    Indiana Hoosiers Record Board

That's a hoe drill?  From the looks of it, they should call it a hoes drill instead.  Like 9 at once.

Can somebody explain what Power Index, VO2 Max, Hoosier Drill, and Lane Agility mean?

    IU-Purdue Alumni Game

Fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine.  My experience shows me that Hulls is the most anti-clutch player I've ever seen.  Please don't tell me I'm not allowed to speak it less than 24 hours after another choke job.

    IU-Purdue Alumni Game

Hulls played yesterday. ..and did what he's always done.  I don't think it's out of bounds to mention it.     Jones hasnt played for the Hoosiers in years.  What's the difference in your favor?  I can't find one.

    IU-Purdue Alumni Game

So it's ok to speak ill of Jones but not Hulls?  Hulls was what he was.  Why can't we mention it?  Are you his sibling or something?

    IU-Purdue Alumni Game

Yeah, he was weird.  Excellent shooter and free throws...except for the last minute of the game.  Then he turned terrible.  Just like last night.

Sorry it offended you, I found it appropriate after the typical Jody performance yesterday.   No idea it made you so upset.

Wow that's aggressive.  What "crap" are you accusing me of?

    IU-Purdue Alumni Game

Jordan Hulls has always been tough on himself.   So naturally the former Indiana University point guard was more upset with the two free throws he missed with 6.1 seconds left   Dude was always the most anti-clutch player I've seen at IU.  Inside two minutes he was good, inside 30 seconds he was terrible.  Like it was planned that he'd miss every shot inside 30 seconds.  Weird.   Thanks for the link

    IU-Purdue Alumni Game

I just thought they lacked athleticism.  I bet either would struggle to jump over a Crean playbook.   BTW, thanks for the updates

    Shot Clock

Shortening the shot clock means Wisconsin could score 60 in a game!
  25. Roy had a big hand in getting Kansas put on probation for Lack of Institutional Control, now he's got a big part in the UNC scandal.  He just might go down as one of the most corrupt coaches in college basketball history.
