With the loss of Vonleh and the other players IU is facing another really sub par year. I think they will most likely have a losing record. That would give TC 3 losing seasons out of 5. I think Glass will have to seriously consider his future toward the end of next season. Great coaches don't have this kind of track record. I know he came into the worst situation possible, but these are all his players now. IU should be a top 20 program every year, not a bottom dweller which is what we see. I had reservations about TC when he was hired and I guess I was right. There isn't a light at the end of the tunnel.

Who would you hire to replace CTC?

I don't think Crean should be given another few years to make IU a winner. He has had 4 and we aren't among the top 100 this year. I think he has failed. Bring on Brad Stevens. -

I must say I am incredibly disappointed in Crean. This was a very poor effort this year. I think 2014/2015 is when he either goes big or leaves town. We can't let this become another Mike Davis situation. He recruits well but doesn't seem to be much of a game coach. It is hard to watch the tournament knowing that IU is not among the top 100 teams in the nation. This can't happen again. -

IU was once considered to be a public ivy school. It is now not ranked among the top 75 schools in the country and ranked ahead of only Nebraska in the B10. Its endowment is also only higher than Nebraska. If they want to improve rankings they need to be far more restrictive in their admissions policy. Nearly 80% are accepted now while top public universities like UNC, UVA, UC Berkley, UCLA, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc have far tighter admission standards. Even schools like Alabama and Clemson are ranked higher. IU has really fallen over the last 20 years. -
Im so tired of all this negative talk

IU has been mostly irrelevant in basketball for the last 25 years. Outside of 2002 its been a non factor. It will continue this way as long as the fans, trustees, and media keep the mindset of wait till next year. -

I see a lot of limited expectations from posters here that remind me of the Davis era. IU should not settle for anything less than the very best coach available anywhere. We should be prepared to pay out the $ to get him also. IU seemingly has a good AD now unlike its past 100 years of mostly pathetic ADs. IU suffers from a political board of trustees that are there only because they kissed the right rear ends. Its really a structural problem affecting the whole university system of governance. If IU is ever to be a top athletic program and academic university it needs to reform how the board is selected and stop trying to always look for IU people to run things. That's how the football and basketball dropped to their current levels and how IU has slowly gone so far down in academics. -
Not just the BTT he sucked last year in the NCAA tournament.

Crean sure doesn't seem to be much of a tournament coach. He is record is dismal.

I have been trolling the internet looking for some really decent renderings of what the Hall will look like in 2016. I can't find anything of good quality. Its all pretty sketchy. Anyone have a link to a good site?

Thoughts on Crowd Booing CTC/ Players?
Gahoosierfan replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
In some ways Crean reminds me of Knight. Knight would have a really good top ten team every 3 or 4 years that was a real threat to go deep in the tournament. Then top players graduated and it was a gradual rebuilding process to get back to where they were. This seems to be Crean's tactic also. I long for a perennial top ten program like a Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, Syracuse, etc. I guess we won't see that anytime soon.
