Why can't they play pass defense?

Wilson makes a big mistake.

I think Sudfeld will be back. Wilson said he was cleared to play last week. As far as Howard, its hard to say. Even after his injury against OSU he still came back played a series or two. If he is back it may be in a limited role, like every other series or down.

This reminds me of the Columbus Dispatch just before the IU/OSU game. The sports writers were making their predictions and all the scores were something like 63-21 or 49-10. Lets not be so overly optimistic. Rutgers had their way with IU last year.

I noticed at the start of the season that Sudfeld was somewhat slow getting back into the offensive flow after sitting out 2014's last 6 games and the off season. I expect it will take a little while for him to get his rhythm back. Maybe he'll be in good form by the 3rd series. I am more worried about the lack of a running game. I am not sure what Rutger's run defense is like. Hopefully Redding can show some improvement.

No team including Rutgers is a push over for IU.

I would hope for a 7-5 record, but looking at the schedule I think that's optimistic. IU will be a definite underdog against UMichigan, MSU, Iowa, and most likely Maryland. They will be an even pick against Purdue and Rutgers. Wilson teams have a bad habit of playing one good game and then being totally flat for the next couple of games . So I think 6-6 is the best they can do.

I think we are all used to this. This has been IU's history in football, it is  still  disappointing. I keep hoping that someday we will be a respectable program. I am not sure that is going to happen.

Looking at the schedule I think it will be really difficult to pick up the 2 wins to be bowl eligible. Rutgers and Purdue are the only possibilities. I don't really want to see a 6-6 IU team in a bowl anyway. I think they would get killed. Come on basketball. This is just like all the other seasons over the last 30 years.

Looks like IU didn't come to play today. No effort on either side of the ball. Very disappointing.

The lack of a running game makes this a big L.

This team really gave it its all last week. Usually after a game like that a team comes out flat. This is what really worries me. Fortunately PSU is not an explosive team so they would not be able to really run up the score if it takes a quarter or two for IU to get going.

I hated the fake punt. Wilson made a huge error and it cost them. Then with only 40 or so seconds to go and IU threatening he refuses to call a timeout and lets the clock run down about 18 seconds. And he had 3 timeouts to burn. Beyond stupid. Wilson is no Urban Meyer.

Wilson needs to go. This is a lousy team.

The vaunted IU O Line looks pretty ordinary to me.

400 yards given up in the first half. Western Ky should score over 80 points. Wilson is a failure. He has to go.

I guess when you hire your DC from Wake Forest this is what you get.

OK, that's all. Turning channels. Same old same old. When does basketball start?

SIU has almost 300 yards. IU=Worst Defense ever.

Is this Wilson's last season?

Are the people in the admissions office a bunch of idiots or what? There is no way it should take this long.

I think increasing the number of wins this season depends on several things. Run defense should be improved with all the returning starters however pass defense looks pretty iffy. Loosing Allen hurts. The run game should be pretty good even loosing Coleman. The line brings back lots of players and the UAB back may turn out really well. The pass game depends on how the new receivers do. I have my fingers crossed hoping we get through preseason at 4-0 and then beat a few teams like Purdue, Illinois, and Rutgers.

Bryant will be brand new to college ball at this stage and the rest of the team will be the ones that lost by 14 to Iowa at home late in the season. I am not as optimistic as the other posters are. Crean will still be the coach.

I think the way to look at that class is to look at what top programs wanted those players. Were Duke, UK, MSU, or any others seriously interested? Dakich was right for once.
