I am not optimistic. At least UK isn't known to slow it down, which is IU's downfall. I still haven't forgotten Wichita State's 8 uncontested layups. Even if they could miraculously beat UK, UNC is out of the question. They are well coached.

I love IU, but ! I will never be a Crean fan, even if he wins the national championship. His coaching is seriously flawed. I have prepared my self for a second round NCAA loss. This is usually the best we can hope for. Crean reminds me of UGA's Mark Richt. He was at UGA for 15 years and always won just enough to keep his job until this year when the folks with $ that supported the athletics department said enough is enough and Richt is now gone.

Oh well, I am used to this.

Tournament coach? Not.

IU is capable of winning. The problem I see is mental toughness. They have a history of playing a great game and then having a let down. Sort of like what happened at PSU. I see MSU winning by about 10.

I think IU needs to limit turnovers, create 3 point opportunities, play solid defense, and TC needs to use time outs to stop Iowa runs.

It doesn't do much good to complain here. Contacting the trustees is at least a start.

 I hope the Michigan players are looking ahead to the Michigan State game Saturday.

It all depends on which IU team shows up. Crean teams typically don't play two good games in a row. So the Minnesota game was the poor effort and they should be more fired up at Michigan. I like that the polls have no faith in IU. Maybe Michigan players will be reading the papers and underestimate IU.

 I need a drink.

 I believe IU still retains enough of its image to expect that we should have if not one of the ten best coaches then one of the 20 best in the country. Crean is not in the top 40 in my opinion. He has done just enough to avoid being fired. I think that ends this year. This team won't win more than one in either the BTen or NCAA tournaments. Glass will face a lynch mob if he doesn't end the misery after this season.

I am very disappointed that after 5 years of Wilson at the helm, the defense has seen no improvement. I think its time for a change.

With all due respect, Glass needs to let Wilson go and hire a coach that knows both sides of the ball. Wilson has had too many chances. He still makes too many fundamental errors including his choices for DC.

Win or loose I know what Glass needs to do.

Watching a Wison coached team is nothing but painful. The IU secondary must rank 120 out of 120 in the BCS. I think Purdue will likely win this game.

Does this remind you of the Wichita State game? One uncontested layup after another. Does Crean really have a clue about defense?

I don't think Glass will have any choice now. He will have to open the wallet and go for a new coach. Obviously Wilson will never succeed.

The good news is I don't have to suffer through another IU football game till next year. I am done this year. Its basketball season now.

Knorr and Wilson both should resign now.
