IU vs. NEBRASKA - Game Thread

Well, if Crean is anything like the last 7 years have showed us, no adjustments at half time and we lose by 10 points.  Hope I am seriously wrong but we are up 8 and I feel like we have already lost this game by watching the last 3-4 minutes of the half.  Expect to see a lot of zone the 2nd half, can we find a way to beat the zone or are we going to be content with just trying to survive the zone?  Hopefully we attack and beat it.  We are playing well enough to win this game by 10-20 points if we play like we did to start.

Looked like he tweeked something on that layup.  You could see him wincing on the defensive end.  Looks to just be a stinger though as he is playing well afterwards.
  4. Why is tomorrow's game not on TV or am I missing something?

Indiana vs New Orleans Game Thread

I realize the "reason" for this but it is ridiculous.  I pay for the B1G so the game should be on TV.  I don't want to watch a stinking game on a mobile device/computer when I should be able to watch it in HD on my big screen tv on a Service I already pay for.   (Having the option of watching on a mobile device is ok, but having it as the only means of watching it is ridiculous.)

Indiana vs New Orleans Game Thread

With all of the sports channels these days, no excuse for an IU game to not be on TV.

    Stan and Troy

He might or might not be talking about those two?  I think he is referring to specific people and not the group as a whole even though it could be a majority if its enough individuals.  I could be wrong but that is how I interpreted it.

    Please go away, Mr. Emmert

If the player had to go back to the team that he was drafted from, then maybe I could see this happening.  For instance, what if Vonleah was sent back to Indiana for another year or two? or Zeller (even though Zeller did not go to the D-League, a team like Charlotte could have sent him back to college for another season had they wanted to instead of playing him right away at the NBA level?)  Let the NBA pay for their college tuition and whatever else their contract is, opening up a scholarship to help with attrition and uncertainty.  To prevent collusion or unmoral things, still enforce recruiting rules as they are today with regards to getting paid, agents and all that.  If any player is said to be in contact with NBA teams (unlawfully) prior to being drafted to the NBA, then they cannot come back to the NCAA?   I'm not saying I'm for this, but just looking at this in a way that it would make sense for the NCAA, Fans, Schools and the Players and throwing out another side to look at for discussion.

GREAT game plan by Coach Crean

I will give Crean some credit for last nights win, but not all as there were still some questionable things, such as sub patterns and timeout usage that I did not particularly think was good. As far as the game plan and how we attack them, he should get credit for that. We attacked the rim and did some good things offensively and defensively last night. That was good to see. Our zone offense while more effective than its been, was still not very good at times but there was some progress. The one thing I will definitely disagree with you on is the scheme. He has never shown the ability or desire to fit the scheme to his players. He has the players offensively to run his system for the most part. However it's still a system that is flawed and relies too much on individual ability and unless he has the perfect player at each position creates defensive deficiencies. Defense is a whole other story though. I still don't think he is the solution long term, but he does deserve some credit for last nights game. While I am critical of him, I will say good job to Coach AND the players for last nights game.
