Anyone go to the Knight & Keady thing in Carmel tonight? Or is it tomorrow night? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I don't know, I've been let go from a job before and I hope they all rot in hell. So I guess I don't see why this is a big deal to many. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Is this opinion or did he say this somewhere? Would be interested in reading that article for sure. "Knight's uncandid thoughts on Tom Crean as a coach!" Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Archie Miller's staff at Indiana will be Bruiser Flint, Tom Ostrom (Dayton) and Ed Schilling (UCLA),

It was a joke, if you look at the final four crew on TBS they were all bald. Barkley, Smith, Kellogg, and Gumble -

I guess he could but I think you still have to find something to get paid. I guess he could collect a check for a few months by doing the interviews but I don't think it would be able to be ongoing like that though? That is an interesting aspect of that, I guess it depends on the wording in the contract? -
RE: Traditions Putting the student behind opponents’ bench I don’t really agree with. That should be reserved for family of the opposing players and any allotment of tickets given to the opposite team for such seats. (Not just fans of the opposing team, but people in connection with the team that have a reason to travel beside fandom.) Too many issues with putting students right there. I do agree the students should be in the inner bowl (i.e. bleacher seats) all the way around except behind both benches. Keep the seats behind IU’s bench for team families, team seats and big time boosters who want to sit there. Lower the student section bleachers that would be across from the team benches in height to accommodate for students standing as not to block the MAIN concourse seats. Then take out the first 5-7 rows or so of the main concourse and put in high value seats for the bigtime boosters who have lost their bleacher seats with full accommodations to make these seats more desirable or as desirable. Then in the main concourses, put the student sections on all four Corners of the concourse and in the balcony. It would create an all angle type of loudness and the Non Students would be able to sit without having to stand because the student section is standing if desired. Just a few thoughts on seating.

One more thing, as mentioned above, it may be that in his contract, in order to receive the buyout for getting fired, he must look for and obtain a job to receive said buyout? In other words, he can't just sit around collecting a paycheck. -

He got fired, he isn't going to be taking a step forward or sideways, any time a coach gets fired, most likely he is going to be taking a step back. Otherwise he probably wouldn't have gotten fired. (This applies to getting fired for performance/results, not any kind of altercation/disciplinary type firings) -

I actually agree with you but at this point, its better than being unemployed. And he doesn't have the face for media, the bald head, yes, but not the face. Not many head coach positions still available so if he is going to be an assistant why not at a Blue Blood like Indiana? -
I would argue that it is in the top 10

Thats fine, in my opinion then, I see your take on the NBA as just as bad. If you don't like it, don't read it and move on or if you have a different opinion, then provide it and support it with examples, opinion and/or debate. Otherwise, direct your complaint to the complaint depart. (By the way, the complaint department is closed) People who complain just to hear themselves complain are the worst ones! Like they know it all and everyone else is dumb. Cmon Man! -
2017-2018 Basketball Schedule
CrossboneIU22 replied to hoosierpap's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I really hope we play some true road games in the Non Con season. Maybe like 2-3 I'd also like to see us play teams with more brand/name recognition. Like bottom teams from the power 5/6 (minus B1G obviously) or high mid majors. An example of how I'd like our schedule based: Not in any date order: (From the Conference listed, pick a team from the conference teams listed below) Of the 8 Home or Away games, 2-3 of those per year should be away, the other 5-6 Home 2 Exhibition Games vs Any Team at home. Boarder Wars (Indiana & Purdue vs Kentucky & Louisville) (Neutral Site) Rotating like Crossroads Classic Crossroads Classic (Indiana & Purdue vs Notre Dame & Butler) (Neutral Site) (Notre Dame and Louisville from the Boarder War game would correspond to opposite years so IU/PU would not play both ND and LOU in the same year) ACC vs B1G Challenge (Home or Away) SEC/ACC (Home or Away) PAC-12/Big-12 (Home or Away) BIG EAST (Home or Away) American (Home or Away) IVY (Home or Away) A10 (Home or Away) CUSA (Home or Away) Pre-Season Tourney Pre-Season Tourney Pre-Season Tourney Conference Games (Home/Away) (if a 4th Pre-Season Tourney game is needed, eliminate the SEC/ACC game) SEC/ACC Boston College Miami Wake Forest Clemson Georgia Tech Texas A&M Missouri LSU Auburn Alabama Pittsburgh Pac-12/Big 12 Oregon State Washington Washington State Stanford Arizona State Texas Tech Iowa State TCU Kansas State Big East DePaul Georgetown St Johns Xavier Marquette Creighton American Tulane Temple Memphis UCF Houston Cincinnati SMU IVY Princeton Harvard Yale Penn Columbia Brown Cornell Dartmouth A10 Dayton Rhode Island St Bonaventure George Washington George Mason La Salle Umass Duquesne Saint Louis Fordham Davidson VCU Richmond Saint Joseph's CUSA Old Dominion UTEP Rice Marshal UAB Western Kentucky Florida International With this Scenario Given, my schedule would look like this. Exhibition Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats (Home) Marian Knights (Home) Non Conference Schedule Kentucky (Lucas Oil Stadium) Notre Dame (Crossroads Classic - Bankers Life Fieldhouse) ACC vs B1G Challenge (Home or Away) Boston College (Home) Oregon State (Away) DePaul (Home) Temple (Away) Dartmouth (Home) Duquesne or St. Louis (Home) UTEP (Away) Pre-Season Tourney Pre-Season Tourney Pre-Season Tourney -
Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers

The only way I want OG to go to the NBA is if the Pacers were to draft him. And since Bird seems to have a hate for anything IU, (not signing Yogi who would at the least bring people in the building, and point guard is a huge need for the Pacers for the future, they could have signed him at a bargain like Dallas did) I don't expect the Pacers to select OG even if he was available at their pick. -

I completely understand what you are saying, that is why i listed it the way I did with the numbers in parenthesis, showing where we would be at knowing that 13 is the max we can actually take on scholarship. Some people don't understand the over-sign and the affects it has and I was just trying to show that in a different way for those who don't seem to understand. I'm actually saying the same thing as you, just in a different way (unless I worded something wrong, lol). -

Wow, some of you all need to learn the definition of "FACT". Or maybe the diference between "Opinion based on sources" and "Fact." So glad Hartman is back. Selfishly though, I was hoping Archie would have the exact same team Crean had last year for equal comparison, but I as a lifelong Hoosier, I am thrilled Hartman is returning!!! He has been one of my favorites since his freshman year! Bad thing is, someone has to go for the 1 committed incoming freshman to join the team and now that Hartman is back, it starts to get a little dicier. Still have plenty of question marks as who could go and who could stay but seems like all 13 members theoretically could return and what that does to our lone committed incoming player, remains to be seen. Let alone the other 2 previously signed recruits and anyone wanting to transfer in this year. So Far: Staying: Davis - Confirmed by Father (1) Newkirk - Confirmed by Father (2) Hartman - Confirmed by Himself through video release. (3) Morgan (Confirmed) (4) Believed to be Staying: McSwain (Have not seen this confirmed yet, but rumored to be back) (5) Remaining Questions: Blackmon Jr. - Declared for Draft but no agent, still could return. (6) OG - Middle 1st round draft projection, no information yet. (7) Bryant - 2nd round draft projection, no information yet (8) Rojo - No information yet (9) Green - No information yet (10) Cujo - No information yet (11) Gelan - No information yet (12) Priller - No information yet (13) Incoming Players: Justin Smith (14) Potential Incoming Players: Al Durham (15) Clifton Moore (16) Others: McKinley Wright Mark Smith Jordan Tucker Mohammed Bamba Matur Maker -
In addition, I think the framed jersey seniors get at senior night should have their name on it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I'd prefer NO names but if we had them on the road and/or first game of the year, I'd be ok with that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Sorry haven't read through all the posts to see if this was stated already, but on his radio show a week or two ago, DD stated his son didn't walk on to IU only because the walkons/team was full and did not have any room to add him. He also mentioned at that time (this was shortly after the plane crash) that his son would be graduating and transferring. This was before the season was officially over. I also believe he said it was already known to the coaching staff at Michigan as well. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I wish Colin would have been there, I'd love to see him one more year in the Cream and Crimson! -
If we are looking at it in terms of how we handled the contract/position with Crean, then I think by year 3-4 we have to be ready to give extension or evaluate if we want to continue in this direction going forward. In other words same situation we faced this year. Extend or fire. And honestly, firing Crean probably would have been done last year had we not won the B1G Ten and Crean won COY based on Glasses reaction to not giving Crean an extension after last season with what he accomplished.
