(2018) PG Robert Phinisee to Cincinnati

For those who know a lot more about RP than me, can tell me how he compares to Yogi as a PG? Similarities/Differences, what should I expect from RP? If he doesn't compare to Yogi, who would you compare him too? Thanks! -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

I don't know if anyone has seen this, but thought it would be appropriate to place right here for discussion. And if you're an IU fan why would you since it was on a UK site, but I found it from a UK friend. -
I don't know if I'm late to this party or not but my expectations at a minimum (baring injury) would be: 1. Competitive in the B1G (3rd - 7th in conference) 2. 1-2 Wins in the Conference Tourney 3. NCAA Tourney Appearance What I have a feeling we are absolutely capable of doing: 1. Winning the B1G (Shared) 2. Final 4 of Conference Tourney 3. Elite 8 in NCAA (maybe final 4 if we really start clicking and Archie is as good a coach as all seem to think) We lost OG (who hardly even played last year and when he did, wasn't playing his best), Blackmon (who we seemed to play better without the year prior), and then Bryant (and I feel Davis was always better than Bryant just not as athletic and in foul trouble). Plus we gain Hartman. If we had a competent coach last year, we should have made the NCAA tourney easy as seed inside of an 8 seed. Archie runs a similar system as Crean offensively with much better movement and flow so I don't see the transition here that vast, but if he can get them playing defense, then this team has the potential to be special. Maybe not NC special but certainly a fun team to watch and be proud of. I can actually say I'm excited about this season. Something I haven't been able to say for a few years now even though I still watched every single game.

The Basketball Tournament - Hulls, Watford & Sheehey

Armored Athlete not playing very well. Can't wait to see a team full of IU Alumns one day. Problem is we have too many pros right now to field a competitive all IU team. We could certainly field a competitive all Indiana team combining us with Purdue, Butler and Notre Damn but I want to see an all IU team. -
2017-2018 Basketball Schedule
CrossboneIU22 replied to hoosierpap's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Is it against the rules to play a game the week of the conference tourneys since we are playing ours a week early. It wouldn't be a marquee game as it would have to be with another conference that either doesn't have a conference tourney or a conference that ends a week early like the B1G this year, but it could be used as a tune up game or two heading into March Madness and give some visibility to the committee before Selection Sunday. On a side note, is the OP going to update the Schedule Post (first post of this thread)? Thanks -
Thad Matta has been let go apparently by OSU http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/19550448/thad-matta-ohio-state-buckeyes-coach-13-seasons Who will be their next head coach?
-
I'm glad it worked out and is over, but apparently that $15 Mill buyout didn't stop them from calling him to inquire about the job apparently.
-
I would agree with this unless in the unlikely event it affected us in any major way.
-
The only upside would be that if timing was truly the issue with Stevens or Donovan, this would eliminate that issue, but at this point, lets just hope we are set and they hire someone who is terrible....cough....crean....cough.
-
Hopefully there is 0% chance CAM would up and leave for OSU after being on the job only a few months, but I guess we will see if it is truly his dream job or not. I'm guessing not now.
-
Certainly hope not, but timing is right for an NBA guy to come back down to the college level if wanted. Hopefully Stevens doesn't get too nervous in Boston this off season with the negativity of their playoff performance and follow the trend (wouldn't really call it a trend, but for lack of better terms) of Butler coach to OSU.

For the sake of evening out the rotation though, I would rather Green start and Newkirk be the first off the bench for the second unit as he would provide the offense on the 2nd unit with Cujo. Green would be a better facilitator for the starting 5 without having to score as he would be on the 2nd unit. My 2 units would be: A Green Rojo Morgan Hartman Davis B Newkirk Cujo Smith McSwain Moore Now don't get me wrong, I would never do a line change like this as a coach, it would be based off who is playing well, fatigue, foul trouble and flow of the game and a gradual substitution. -

I'd be surprised if the starting lineup looks like anything other than this: Newkirk Rojo Morgan Hartman Davis Subs with Regular Minutes in order of off the bench (except for foul trouble situations) Green Cujo Moore McSwain Smith Foul Trouble Inserts Durham McRoberts Priller Mop Up Duty Only Gelon Jager Taylor -

Jeff Rabjohns @JeffRabjohns 4m4 minutes ago More Jeff Rabjohns Retweeted Brennan Champion For those asking, this is not true. It's just somebody making things up and tweeting them out. Again. Look at his 1st 2 tweets. Jeff Rabjohns added, Brennan Champion @b_champion Follow More Bryant and Blackmon Jr. have both hired agents and will not return to Indiana. This opens up roster spots for Miller. #IUBB @ZachOsterman -

Good for Hernandez. What a despicable human being. At least our tax dollars no longer have to fund this mans life. I just wish every person truly guilty of Murder, Sex Abuse/Crimes against children or child abuse (the kind of abuse that is clearly over the line, I.e. broken bones, physical harm, repeated offenders, not accidents etc.) would all just off themselves so we can stop wasting tax dollars for these idiots to live a better life than millions of homeless people and vets in our country.
