Man I laughed so hard I almost peed at his comments on reflecting what worked and didn't and making changes for the better! The man coached at Marquette and Indiana for almost 20 years and the same problems happened year after year. This man is stuck on himself and his methods and is virtually incapable of making changes. He is better off taking a career in broadcasting, cause the "big time" coaching gigs are not going to come, those schools have noticed a track record of inconsistency, big spending shot gun approach to recruiting, off the court issues, lack of meaningful player discipline, lackadaisical coaching strategy, maddening substitution strategies, and no in-game adaptations. Schools like Duke, mentioned in other post, wouldn't bat an eye at a resume like FCTC has built over the last couple decades. I agree with others, FCTC is setting up a PR campaign to shrug off how him not finding the "right" job will look! I will give him credit for one thing, he is one hell of a PR guy and knows exactly how to hype himself!

Dreklie Not even sign him. Lol. Now dude will get a completely free education anytime in his life he needs it, and for what? Sounds like this kid doesn't want to expose any flaws on T.V. Like I said earlier, the pUKe fans here admitted the kid has potential but can't shoot. Maybe he's just "using" the system to slide into the NBA on potential.

As if I couldn't hate pUKe enough, and yes I know he is not hiring an agent and all that jazz, but to me this just seems like a giant middle finger to the NCAA, universities, and to every student athlete that has ever been under scholarship. We all know that pUKe is a funnel for the one-n-dones but for a kid to enroll in January then to test the waters? Talking with a few pUKe fans this morning, they said yeah we knew he would do this but he isn't going anywhere he can't shoot! That maybe but if he somehow has a decent shooting night at one of the evaluations, with the potential that he is said to have in athleticism, this kid could be a 1 redshirt term and done. What an absolute waste of funds that would be on the university. Something needs to be done with the NBA or NCAA to stop the one-n-done madness. All it would take would be for the NCAA to propose a rule about athletic scholarships to change it. I know its all about the money anymore but there is potential here to have a college scholly player that never steps foot on the court for there school and goes directly to the NBA.

This is just an thought, not sourced but just thinking. What if Hartman's return is not on scholly? That would free up another spot and if JBJ decides to play for money where ever that might be, we would be ok. Hartman already has his Bachelor's, I think this past year, and is working on his Master's. There has been a lot of discussion recently about player's playing their final year without scholarships, maybe this could be one of those cases that Hartman bought into CAMs vision for next season and knows the over signed scholly situation and since he has his bachelor's and most likely a nice cushy job after this year, maybe he came back paying his own way, or some other way, to finish his master's and make a run in the tourney. Just a thought. I really don't like the situation that was left for Miller to contend with, but I don't think it will take him long to straighten this mess out.

That's how it is run here as well for the 4 y.o. teams, but my examples were from older groups. My friends son is in what they call minor league and in that league I have seen it. The only incident in my son's league was the incident with the coach the other day, but like I said the father hasn't been back since then. If one of the parent's were to act out like a petulant child at one of our games, I will gladly drag their a$$ back to their vehicle and ban them myself. My neighbor is the president of the t-ball league, I don't think I would have too much trouble in removing a$$holes from the game, lol.

LOL. I will tell my wife to bring extra, but he hasn't been back since the first practice.

I'm talking about the excessive parents, everyone has seen the dad chewing out the ump or coach from behind the fence because little timmy was called out or isn't being played the way he wants him to be. Its probably not going to be bad this year, but it will happen later down the road. In our league the first year (4 y.o.), there is no score, no wins, or losses, basically its just a familiarization for the little ones. Next year they will have a pitching machine and keep score and such. I have already seen one parent this year criticize the head coach. I wanted to say something then but figured I would let the coach handle it.

I think my wife volunteered me just to keep me out of the bleachers and away from the loud, annoying, try to command the game from their seats, everyone deserves a trophy type of parents. She knows me all to well.

My Easter with family went well, until I found my 4 y.o. had been hiding and ate half a bag of Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans. Good lord that sugar high lasted about 6 hours! I'm actually surprised his heart didn't explode, but everything is ok, he crashed at 930 last night!

Long-busy weekend, T-ball has officially started and I got volunteered to assistant coach, and Easter with family, so I added a few new names this morning.

There has been some chatter around the internet, but if you bring it up to the people I work with that are pUKe fans nothing but support. I brought up that they only have 1 title under Calipari, and got the response of but we are constantly competing for Elite 8, and Final Fours. I think deep down their inner fandom is busting TVs, burning couches, and calling for his head though. You can tell by how they act when the Cats loose that they are not pleased at all, especially when they lost back to back this season to Kansas and Tennessee.

Thanks for the additional info guys, trying to keep up with everything at work is not always easy.

Well the update that no one wanted to see, OG declares and will sign with an agent. Though saddened that we won't get to see his potential blossom in Cream and Crimson, I wish him the best of luck in the future and hope he represents IU well in the league!

Nah I just finished installing 675 sqft of laminate in our living room and kitchen. I think I'm getting the hang of it.
