Don’t think this is going to turn next season around! Before injury this season he threw 7 TDs and 9 Ints with 939 yds. Last season he was 19/10 for 2,677 yds. He has 508 career rushing yards. And this was behind a fairly decent OL.

Its not just me describing the situation. MR will improve, he is a freshman, the talent is there. JG is a junior, he simply cannot make the mistakes that he was making last night as an upperclassman. I am not a doom and gloom person on the season yet, but there were multiple times JG should have been yanked last night. When he was finally pulled and Kopp shifted to the 4, things started improving (ever so slightly). Honestly, the biggest void last night was the loss of Race last night, as hard as I have been on him for a while, he was a huge part of our early game success last night.

There was no need to critic MRs play as he didn't play much and it was obvious why. The only player that looked more lost than JG. Not to mention MR is a freshman and JG is a junior.

I don't neccesarily think that Race was holding him in check more than just making things tougher for Murray. Murray was still going to get his regardless of who was guarding him. However, what we really lost was the effort that Race brought in those few mins in the first. He was grabbing boards, moving without the ball, setting good screens, mostly just being in the right place at the right time. After the diving tackle on his knees, we were lost.

JG was lost on most possessions last night. 1 good play, 3 bad. Out of position on defense, sporadic, erratic at times. Just a terrible game for him despite the box score.

Not really anyone consistently outside of TB. There are flashes from different players but none of the have moved up out of the role player status. There is something up with JG, he is lost again, Trey has spurts, even Kopp, but there needs to be consistency. bright note: I thought JHS showed something tonight that he was definitely not praised for out of high school and that was his 3s tonight. bad note: the most aggravating thing for me tonight was that LONG stretch after Race went down with JG logging so many minutes while being completely lost on both sides of the floor! I get MR was trash tonight but hell we still had the lead throw LD in there.

I get that it’s a bad loss to a bad Iowa team, but going into this season what we’re you all thinking this team would do? It is almost the exact same roster of role players around a borderline all American. Did you all expect some divine intervention and all of a sudden those same players were going to dominate this year? Yeah we have a 5* guard now but we lost our other pg and now Race. I mean I like everyone am over waiting for IU to be on top again but it was blindingly obvious that this team was probably going to win a few more games than it did last year, struggle on the road in the conference, and at least have a better seed in the tourney. Yes losing sucks, yes I have invested money in going to games this year, yes I am tired of waiting, but I never fell for the media hype leading up to this season. How about everyone go sleep this one off.

I know back pain, 7 discs messed up overseas 12 years ago. All you can do is fight through the pain, cause relief is hard to come by.

Didn’t know off it was already posted or not but AJ Moye was at the game tonight. They showed him on the big screen and the crowd woke up a little and a AJ Moye chant broke out.

He seems way more focused on D this game compared to the last time I saw him in person. His hands are still a little crazy still but liking what I’m seeing against the competition.
