Q1 win over net 29 on the road. Woody was fired up at the end there for that win. Win at NW and things may get interesting haha. Wasn’t always pretty, but they hustled and battled tonight. -

Horrible play. But again, thought Carlyle was fouled there. -

I am making this up, but in my kind no less than 95% of his three point attempts are heavily contested. -

Not trying to pick on him, but Mgbako is unplayable on defense. Other than that, they are playing hard. -

I know who you mean, but small point. Coach Ya and Rosemond are the same person. Yasir Rosemond goes by Coach Ya. The other is Kenya Hunter. -

I just re-watched, missed that. He does mention making changes to the guys starting, to get us off to a good start. I think my mind was too boggled by the "I wish I knew" answer of the next question about 60 in the first half and erased anything I heard before it. -

I have been told (others have hinted), that the talk is that we can expect a starting lineup change tonight. Will be interesting to see what that looks like, and who gets moved out/in that 5. Or if we trot the same group out for tip... -

I have a hard time believing even a win tonight, or even the next, can slow down this train. As a fan, it will be hard for me to ever root for my team to lose. With that, and believing he is gone regardless, I would like to watch some fun basketball tonight. -

I think he was telling us to be "A patient"...in the insane asylum that is IU Basketball as of late. -

I don’t see a lot of guys, but one main person is also not visible in that picture. IU media stoking the fire haha. -

I wouldn't mind trying to keep him when we change coaches...so if DD could not drag him into his drama that would be great haha. -

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/3096709/2022/01/27/how-chris-mack-fell-so-hard-so-fast-at-louisville-he-just-didnt-handle-all-of-this-very-well/ Not being combative. But this article doesn't paint the picture that Mack would survive in the fish bowl here, if he couldn't at UL. “Prickly,’’ is a word used by more than one person to describe the coach who could be combative and dismissive with the media, and appeared at times, uncomfortable if not downright overwhelmed with the level of attention and second-guessing he received. He bristled when things went poorly, and shrugged when pressed for explanations. “Well if I was an AD, at the top of the list of things I’d tell my coaches to never say is, ‘Well I don’t have an explanation for that,’’’ one person familiar with the program says. “And he said that a lot.’’ "Ultimately, insiders say the external issues combined with Mack’s combative personality combusted, creating so much turmoil that the Cards collapsed like a house of cards — except from within." -

Mack fell pretty hard at Louisville, pretty fast. 16 mths. after a 24-7 season and number 1 ranking he was canned. Still wild how fast that crumbled. -

I think I am finally to the point where we have to let the program fully die, for it to be reborn. The sad reality is that Indiana basketball doesn't mean much, if anything, any more in the college basketball landscape. Kids don't care about our dated championships, dusty banners, candy stripe pants, Bob Knight, and on and on...because none of it has ever truly meant anything in their lifetime. We are holding onto ghosts, and it's time we realize it's dead. Since 2000, we have made it beyond the 1st weekend of the NCAA tournament 4 times...per the article I just read, you can actually go back to 1995 and that number is still just..4 times. Since 1995 we have won 3 conference titles. In that same period (1995) we have gone through 6 coaches, trying to do the same things, touting the same tradition, with mostly the same results. Rinse, repeat. It all has to die...and a new voice, with new traditions, new facilities, new identity, new expectations, new everything has to be reborn. We have to step into the current times and modernize the program. Give the new coach total control to change whatever they want, to try to rise this program from the ashes. -

I guess there’s no reason to fire him tonight, with two road games up next…but if you lose both of those, no way you let him walk back into assembly hall to coach against Maryland. My hope would be he steps down or we let him go before that. Would be a sad sad day to see an all-time great have to face the environment that would be waiting for him. -

If Dolson had any thoughts about pulling the plug before the season ends…here is his chance. But it wont happen. -

I didn’t think we’d win. But I didn’t expect this…that was likely the worst half at home I’ve ever seen from us, all around. -

I always try to look at things objectively...and the numbers are - 14-30 vs Quad 1 teams 17-10 vs Quad 2 teams 45-4 vs Quad 3/4 teams 76-44 overall What most fans can't shake, is of those 44 overall losses, over half (26) have been by double digits, and 10 of those are by 20+ points.
