Devin Davis marijuana charge dropped
monskisprodigy replied to sddowning's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He is at a community college in Odessa. Not going to happen, but what is the ruling when a kid goes to a JUCO, do they have to sit out? Theoretically, could a kid leave a team, enroll at a juco and then rejoin the team in the same year? -
In the midst of all of the news coming out about our current roster, Jaquan took to twitter to publicly speak about Crean. He tweeted: User Actions Follow JaQuan Lyle@JMamba5 I have so much respect for Coach Crean. He cares about you as a person, and that's hard to find in the world we live in today. As a result of all of the current off the court problems, do you think this lowers the chances that he ends up in the candy stripes, given his past and reputation? Does it make the risk of taking a chance on him even to great?

Devin Davis injured/Emmitt Holt cited for DUI
monskisprodigy replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I've posted this elsewhere, but wanted to get it out on here as well. In light of the recent police report, which indicated that Devin had been drinking, there is still an issue that not many are discussing. 1. Why was Devin being dropped off at the stadium, if he had also been drinking? Could he have been getting his car? Obviously we do not know his BAC, so he could have been very low as well, but still raises some additional questions. 2. Are the players living in a dorm that is close to the stadium? Could this just have been where he asked to be dropped off? Just seems like a strange place to drop someone off who had been drinking. -
Haven't heard much reported since Hoosier Hysteria on Jaquan, and didn't see a thread dedicated to his recruitment. MOD's, feel free to lock this up if there already one. Anything new on his recruitment, any comments on how he enjoyed HH, etc?

JaQuan Lyle off the board
monskisprodigy replied to CottageGrove's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It seems like from what I can piece together, Jaquan is an extremely nice, fun to be around kid who put basketball ahead of academics. Are most of his " bad" decisions classroom/school based, or are there other behavioral/character issues I just haven't heard about. This is an honest question, as I don't know much about his situation, but do y'all really think if he did choose to attend IU, our team chemistry would take that big of a hit? It is reported that he is very close with JBJ, and I think he could probably help keep him in check if anything was off chemistry wise. Just wanted to get everyone's opinion as I'm out of the loop on this. -

You're right, I did, How could I forget! ha-ha. Made the edit. -
JaQuan Lyle off the board
monskisprodigy replied to CottageGrove's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Really intriguing...Wonder if he is wanting to play this year or attend a full year at IMG and join a team (OU, IU etc.) as a member of the '15 class. Morgan, O.G, Bryant and Lyle would be a really great class for '15, but the question remains, who does that peg as leaving that is currently on the roster. This could get really interesting, especially if we see him at Hoosier Hysteria ha-ha. -
I have been fortunate enough to be able to fly home every year to attend since moving to Dallas, but thought I was going to have to miss it this year. I couldn't stand the thought of watching it on the crappy Big Ten Network stream, so I was able to work my business travel around and book my tickets to the homeland. Oh what we will do for IU basketball.

ha-ha no apology needed. Also, any meaning behind the user name besides the obvious. I ask because Hoosier Hoops was a pretty prominent AAU program back in the day in Indiana (southern mostly) before merging/forming Indiana Red. Didn't know if you shared a link to the program?

Not sure that there is anything "weird" about sharing "personal observations" from someone at every practice/individual workout. There has been a lot of speculation on the skill sets of these kids, thought I would pass along the info given to me, especially on a player that no one outside of the managers/coaches has seen play yet. And no, I didn't expect to hear any of what you listed, but I did expect to hear that at this point we are bringing in scholarship players better than Peter Jurkin...
-
Not trying to stir the pot, but I spoke with someone close to the team this past weekend who has been in on practices/workout's etc. I asked him about April, Priller and Holt and his responses were less than encouraging. He compared April's skill set to Peter Jurkin, and even said Peter was more polished in certain areas, was not very complimentary of Priller and said Holt was comparable to Devin Davis. Went on to say that he thinks only 1 of the 3 will be on IU's roster next season.

Trey Lyle's dad with a BBN rap song?
monskisprodigy replied to Hutch89's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Had never done any searches for Tom Lyles until now. Literally could not find one mention of him related to kentucky, nba, overseas, YMCA anything...Seems pretty hard to believe that he played anywhere, seeing as I can't even track down a roster with is name on it. -
Trey Lyle's dad with a BBN rap song?
monskisprodigy replied to Hutch89's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
How about his songs titled "Cum"...or "Pumping the Pu##y"...Pretty vulgar songs about sex. A real class act. -
Is this 7:00 est?

monskisprodigy replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
How quickly we have forgotten JH haha. Really wonder where he would have fit in on this team had he stayed. -
Seems like Burton has been used quite frequently so far in Canada.

Ryan Burton with the J!

Ryan Burton in early.

haha really enjoying this radio broadcast while doing some data mining, but may have an impact on the integrity of my work. Love listening to IUBB in August.

(2015) JUCO PF Ray Kasongo
monskisprodigy replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
According to posts on other sites, Bender is the one announcing recruiting info for Ray...Not sure I like a guy who literally wrecked UCF's football/basketball programs giving recruiting updates for a player we are interested in... -
If we get another five star center...
monskisprodigy replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Collier transferred to Georgia Tech and was drafted 15th overall in in the 2000 draft to the bucks. He died unexpectedly at his house in 2005, was later found that he had an enlarged heart. -
Good to hear him congratulate Noah, seeing as this is the only public congratulation I have heard/seen so far. As some have mentioned, he posted a picture of Cody and Vic from last year and was even re tweeting Dante Exum's tweets.

Did he commit for track and field? Looks like he threw discus in HS.
