Welp, guess I'll drink beer at work then... -

Honestly didn't follow his recruitment that close. Did he declare Garland to Indiana? -

Don't doubt this. BUT, I'll take anything I can get. I'd rather be disappointed at home this evening drinking beer vs. disappointed at work...need to cling on to hope for 7 more hours haha. -
(2020) PF/C - Dawson Garcia to Minnesota

Rabjohns is close with the family, and he posted that as of late last night the family was still working to make a decision. I think that all signs point to Marquette, but I am holding out hope that the fact he hasn't already tipped his hat to them is because he really wants to go to IU. If not, I am still very excited about our roster next year. Holding a scholarship for a loaded 2021 class also isn't the worst thing in the world (I believe there are 6 Indiana kids in the top 100), especially if there is a very solid grad transfer available. -

Saw where Rabby noted that he spoke to Meyer, and he told him he doesnt know, just his best guess. Direct quote: "Jerry Meyer told me he doesn't know, that he's making an informed prediction, which is what Crystal Balls are for" Wouldn't take this to the bank. Rabby also mentioned that Garcia's announcement comments were taken the wrong way, and Garcia had told people last night he still didn't know. -
Ended up with 2 rebounds, 0 points, 0 assists, 1 turnover in 15 minutes. The kid is talented, and there is a lot of basketball to be played, but he just didn't look to fit in anywhere when on the court last night. For a versatile scorer, he was mainly relegated to standing, setting screens and not really involved as an option in the offense. Wish the kid luck, and still wish we could have seen him in candy stripes.

Welcome to the 2019-2020 IUBB Season
monskisprodigy replied to Walking Boot of Doom's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Was just looking over at another site. Andy Bottoms doesn't project IU making the 68 team field in March. Haven't looked a ton, but a buddy mentioned that this follows the trend of most way too early projections. I am optimistic and bullish on this team when healthy, but then again...I think I say that every year. Hoping Archie get's these kids playing hard, and we surprise a lot of people. Excited to kick off the season, and will be there in person as always rooting for my Hoosiers. LETS GO! -

Maybe they are on to us....when I try to scroll to the 93 minute mark, it jumps from 59 minutes to 100...wont allow me to jump to anywhere in between there. -
Fire or ‘Way to Go!’ Tom Allen?
monskisprodigy replied to Hoosierfan2017's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
FK, Honest question, and have never really seen a serious discussion around actual potential candidates. Who would you like IU to target if we do part ways with CTA? I know that a lot of that depends on the landscape, who may be let go, available etc., but just curious who people think IU could get that would actually drive change. Is there a big name coach down on their luck at a smaller school that we could target, a promising up and comer, proven assistant etc. I was intrigued by Kansas being able to pick up Les Miles, but the verdict is still out of he will succeed there. -

God I love this thread... but for those interested, IU up to 29 in the sp+ ranking. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/27727611/sp+-rankings-week-5-ou-ohio-state-keep-climbing -

Guys...but we had an awesome St. Elmo’s shrimp eating contest today during the game. It was so awesome that it ran past it’s time, players were on the field and they were scrambling to get it cleaned up before the ball was snapped. Fred is crushing game day experience! It was comical...players were yelling for them to get off the field. -

But our recruiting class rankings are the best ever!!!!! Haha. People love to point that out, but I feel like we aren’t seeing any noticeable improvements. I’m not sure why I punish myself every year, just need to accept the program for what it is. -

I left last week early with my daughter and missed Tuttle. I heard rumors that he was an interception machine all pre-season, anyone have any insight into how he looked, how far he is behind Ramsey on the depth chart? Whoever is the QB, I hope the boys are fired up and ready to play. This program badly needs a breakthrough win... BTW...beer selection is great. Was very wierd drinking a Dragonfly, kept thinking someone was going to come and take it haha. -
Season Predictions 2019-2020
monskisprodigy replied to Stromboli's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
What I love about those predictions is placing OSU to finish 6th, yet naming them one of your top 5 sleepers to make a final four while also not placing them in your top 25. Makes my head spin.... -
2019 Off-Season IU Roster News and Moves
monskisprodigy replied to CrossboneIU22's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
FWIW, saw Race today at the IU game, had a foot in the walking boot of death. Made the comment that he’s gotta get healed and out of the boot (sure he only heard it once that day) and he replied and nodded in agreement. Would be a shame to see him hurt for a long period of time again this year. Needs to catch a break. -

My biggest question of the day...why put James in with like 5 minutes to go for 2 downs. Why burn the game? -

Man...defense is bad...feel like they are converting on like 70% of their third downs. -

Tackling continues to be an issue for the Hoosiers. Defense is not impressing, maybe Allen should take it back over haha. Hey Fred, hold off on that extension you were talking about... -

Found out something recently that I was honestly very surprised by. Watched President Mcrobbie pull up in the passenger seat of a Cadillac to an east side shopping strip. A Police Officer in a suit and tie got out of the driver side, walked to his door, opened it, unfolded an umbrella and escorted him to the dry cleaners door. He then waited for Mcrobbie to come back out, met him with the umbrella and then walked him back to the passenger door, opened it and let him in. The gentlemen then got in the drivers side and drove off. True Presidential treatment. I had zero clue that President Mcrobbie had a full time police/security detail and driver. Is this honestly needed? Tuition dollars at work! -

A name I haven’t seen thrown around (if it has I apologize) is AJ Moye. He’s a director of skill development, trainer at Mamba Sports Academy working with Kobe and a Head coach at Oak Park High School per his instagram. If we were going the non D1 route, this could be an interesting hire. Always loved his toughness, and he seems to bleed Cream and Crimson. Anyone know any more about his coaching history? Has he been involved in the AAU circuit at all? -
(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State
monskisprodigy replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
We may never offer this kid, which is fine, but part of me really hopes that we do. From all I have heard and read, he is a kid that would come in day 1, work his tail off and do everything he can to get on the floor. I know he plays for a small school, but fastest ever to 1,000 points, 35 ppg and appears to be highly skilled and of really high character. His size is obviously a question, but look at what Jordan Hulls accomplished being 6ft 170 lbs. If there were ever a kid to gamble on, I don't think you would ever lose sleep over Luke Brown.
