    Archie. Miller. Fired.

To me this screams we either 1. Already have our guy, or 2. The list is very short.

Right, but again, he has a quick 5 star point guard on the bench that can push the ball if Rob refuses. After 4 years I think we can all agree that an up tempo offense is not Archies style. For a team that struggles to shoot, why wouldn't you push the ball?

Any insight who is at the top of that list? The real list haha.

You mean CBI haha. Remember when Glass arrogantly told the media, "We're Indiana, we don't play in the CBI".....didn't age well.

I saw Lander appear to be engaged in the huddles, clapping for team mates, smiling, etc. So, maybe that happened afterwards, but I doubt anything happened prior. Now what doesn't make sense to me is, when your other guards are terrible, and you still refuse to put your Indiana Mr. Basketball or 5 star point guard in for even a minute to see if they can provide a spark... If you go back and watch the game, or any game really, we are a pretty good team when we push the tempo and get out and run off of rebounds/steals etc. I can think of several instances, where when we push the pace, the defense isn't able to pack in on us and we are able to get to the bucket or an open look. From what I have seen, this is where Lander excels, making decisions in the fast break and open space vs. having to get 6,000 fake screens and then make a tough decision with 5 seconds left on the shot clock. The fact that Archie never deviated from his stale halfcourt offense and system designed around walking the ball up the court is amazing to me.

For the first time in my life I am going to bet against the Hoosiers tonight...hedge my happiness. Win win either way....but feels so WRONG!

My biggest gripe with CAM is his roster management. Left two scholarships open, while bringing in 4 freshman...one of whom should still be a senior in high school and preparing for prom. Coming into this season this roster only had one point guard (outside of Lander), in Rob, who has underachieved in his career, struggled to shoot and has zero confidence for whatever reason. Further, the remainder of our roster, outside of TJD, is rounded out with players who aren't talented enough IMO to be starters or get significant minutes in this league on top half teams. Oh, and did I mention we have 2 SCHOLARSHIPS OPEN! CAM failed to address the 2 primary issues in the off season (Understand he brought Parker in for his shooting, TBD), find a proven knockdown shooter, and a point guard who can show up more than 2 games a season. I understand that some of the freshman were supposed to be shooters and contribute because of a star ranking, but relying on a freshman to do anything is a risk he shouldn't have been willing to take in year 4.

My wife and I had a discussion about this. From time to time I would see Crean out and about, and often heard of people having interactions with him. I personally had a couple. Now there may be some on here that have, but I personally have not heard of anyone having any interaction with him in the community, let alone even seeing him. I've never got the impression he was invested in this community, which is a shame. I wonder if some of that disconnectedness is resulting in the fan base's reaction. A lot harder to can a coach that is involved in the community and making an effort.

I know nothing about him except what I saw in this video, and his record on paper at Cleveland State. But I am definitely intrigued.
  14. Program is dead... I see no possible way Archie keeps his job. There is nothing positive about the program right now. Why would you want to come play here?

Looks like a pretty barred rock. Sadly, only 3 of my original Barreds left in my crew (damn coyotes and hawks). Great temperaments, awesome egg production. Also a big fan of our ISA Browns and sapphire olive eggers.
  16. Saw this article the other day, looks like Joey will be returning, although no official announcement has been made. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/joey-brunk-apparently-returning-for-sixth-year/

Don't always enjoy Dakich, but this is, uhh...brutally honest and spot on. Things don't always age well, but this is a fine wine at this point.

I find it hard to believe this season, and especially these past two games, hasn't moved the needle for the administration and boosters to make a move. Not saying we will make the move, but if the discussions haven't started behind closed doors, we truly are doomed as a program. I was with 3 other die hard hoosier fans last night (socially distanced of course), and I think we collectively "watched" 10ish minutes of the actual game. The apathy is the highest I have ever seen it, and have heard multiple people say they wish we still had crean...that's where we are at.

Wonder what wisdom he is keeping from the world by not doing all the board posting and podcasting that he made sure to mention he could be doing in his post... Wants the recognition for posting inside information while claiming to not be an insider...give me a break. People called you on your crap, own it.

Dad gave a hard no to the ambulance ride. Ride back to Bloomington was a joy. I can remember getting butter fly bandage put on my eyebrow cut, because the next game was too important. Missed the window for stitches, still have that massive scar. Also broke my wrist one football season. Coach was on me about never rolling out to block. Well, I did once, and ended up with a broken wrist. Mom and Dad didn’t believe me, went to the furniture store after the game and then had me “sleep on it”. Was still broken that next day. Oh how times have changed haha.

I wish that were the case. Take it from someone who caught an elbow in the post on a swim move and woke up on the floor. Reconstructive surgery, several nose packs (getting the nose packs out of the nostrils is the worst part. The pressure release made me pass out), a blood clot and lots of pain medicine... Having had several broken bones, including multiple ribs (linebacker turned power forward plowed through a screen at full speed. Heard them crack going up for a rebound afterwards), I wouldn’t wish a broken nose on anyone.

Gotcha! Didn't know any of the details outside of just "back issues". Had no idea he was dealing with lingering effect from a botched surgery, yikes. I do remember hearing he needed a chair to sit in all practice, and he had "drop foot" or something to that degree.

Do you know this, or just guessing? He obviously is close, as he took two flights to Georgia and left with an offer in hand, only to turn them down. And that was what, 3 years ago? He also met with Ole Miss leadership when that vacancy was up. Has been reported several times he has interest in returning to coaching, and very well may be just looking for the right fit and situation. Living in Indy, enjoying being close to where his daughter is attending school, taking some time. Again, have no inside information that his back is healthy enough, but also haven't heard anywhere that it isn't.

I read an article where he had an offer in hand from Georgia. Ended up turning down 5 years $16 million, quoted saying he "Wasn't complete ready to give Georgia what they deserve at this point". So, could read into that several ways. He was also linked to the Wichita State job.
