Do we know if anyone else was there to watch him? Or is anyone else still in on him? I hadn't heard anything about the camp around him...the kid can play, if no one is moving on him, wonder what's going on behind the scenes.

I hear ya. I guess I just don't mind having a backup big on the bench, and would think most schools have a roster with that makeup. I am a bit surprised by his skillset, and expected more with what he was able to do production wise at BSU. But I also never watched any of his tape before he came here.

I think Sparks on the bench as your true limited minutes/back up center is fine. In games where both Reneau and Ware find themselves in foul trouble, you have to be able to toss someone in there with some size. Cant roll out Walker at the 5 against teams with any size and expect that to go well. IMO, From a roster make-up perspective, he fills a bench spot that you need. Now...the open scholarship continues to be a head scratcher, but I think it has been hashed out on here several times, that this staff did aggressively go after guards, but they either wanted guarantees we couldn't give them, or were turned off by Galloway and X coming back.

Is there actual chatter about this? That would be disappointing, especially if Woody wouldn't adjust to go smaller and plugs Sparks in the starting lineup long term. No diss on Sparks, but I don't want him and Reneau clogging the lane.

Wasn’t he living/staying in one of the dorms at this point until his house was ready haha.

If I remember correctly, the speculation was that it had a lot to do with being closer to his daughter , and wanting more NIL funds for the financial needs of being a father.

I know nothing about Yardbarker, and think Ware will likely go late first round….but Bronny James on that list at 30 is funny. Kid may very well be an NBA player one day, but having him on a list given his college production so far (know he had the heart scare) doesn’t happen unless your last name is James.

I think there were stretches when he was one of the best guards in the big ten. It’s been ugly as of late.
