Ramsey has played one legit team and the game ended with the Hoosiers losing by 40+. Obviously MSU and OSU aren’t quite the same, but at least Penix gave us a chance to win on the road against a ranked team. Wasn’t the offense that lost that game that’s for damn sure. Prediction from the head: Rob, Devonte, Al, Smith, De’Ron From the heart: Rob, Devonte, Jerome, TJD, De’Ron, with Al seeing a nice 6th man role I think Archie will go with the experienced guys to start us off but by the end of the season it’ll for sure look a lot different. That initial 5 has started a bunch of games for the Hoosiers and I expect November to be much of the same. Hopefully things change up a bit but man do we have some depth. First off, what coach in their right mind is going to want to come to a program that just fired the previous Coach after three seasons, especially when the third season was promising with a bunch of talented youngsters seeing the field. This is as excited I’ve been about an IU football team in a long time. They’ve looked solid so far this year and are currently favored in their next four games, which would equal a 7-2 record and likely an appearance in the AP Polls. We’ve got Michigan, in a down year, at home between when they play Michigan State and Ohio State, and a struggling Purdue to finish off the year. Granted the game against Penn State will likely be a loss, that’s a record that’s looking at an honest 7-5 with a possibility of winning 9 f****** regular season games. Right now, most of the fan base would guess 7 wins over 5 for the rest of the way. That’s something Indiana hasn’t had in who knows how long. But yeah let’s fire the coach orchestrating all that, a coach who likely wouldn’t use Indiana as a stepping stone program, and throw the bank at someone like Nick Saban, Urban, or Dabo who would wanna come here so we can regularly beat ranked teams. Long, athletic, great shooter, and a lotta potential for this kid. Hope we pursue hard because his shooting touch would be much needed. 100 CBB coaches were polled last year by CBS and asked who the cleanest coach in the sport was and Beilein received 26.4% of the vote, the most of any coach in the country. Just think of this year’s team: Charles Matthews-Transfer, Iggy Braz-mid 50’s recruit from Canada, Jordan Poole-93rd in country from WI, Jon Teske-142 in country, Zavier Simpson-67 in country. Two from Ohio, one from Wisconsin, one from Chicago, and one from Canada, I really don’t think he’s the guy to dish out cash to five star recruits. He’s able to sell them on outstanding player development, tremendous on court results, great school and great facilities; Beilein and Michigan are about as clean as they come in my eyes. Anyone know how long he’ll be in Bloomington for? Hopefully the weather can clear up and make things a bit nicer. Im not sure who the presumed leader is of his recruitment or why many seem to be counting us out/treating this as a hopeless recruitment. He’d see a good amount of playing time as a freshman and possibly even start his sophomore year depending on his trajectory.
