I said earlier today we would need a halftime cushion of 10 points which admittedly is almost impossible.   We played so hard these last 2 games and I think the guys were starting to show it in the legs a little with their long balls.   I don't think Blackmon is used to playing this hard at both ends of the court or he might not be in that shape to play tough "D" the whole game.. Tremendous team effort I thought.

I thought Mark Turergon (sp) Twerps coach sounded cocky confident at halftime interview.

This is our night to beat Maryland!   Yes, we will have an advantage of playing one game already on that cavernous arena, particularly in the first half before the Terps adjust.   Therefore, the Hoosiers will need a 10--12 point lead going into the half then leave it all on the floor in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half.    I think we will do it but the gas tank will be on fumes after this game!  72-68 Hoosiers!

One thing you can see in the post game TV interview with CTC is that he really loves his players as evidenced by getting choked up when answering questions about Hanner.

CTC comments with Fisch:  "We will grow up with this game and improve.  Great fan support when we got down 11 points. I love these guys and they are bringing it and had great practices this week."

Going down double digits in a about 4 possessions and then not getting stops until the Hoosiers kick it in at desperation time in the last 3 minutes is basically the template for the last 3 home losses now:(

Barring a total collapse from here (prior to MSU), yes I think so for two reasons:     1.  IU admin and general culture is not as pro basketball as it once was.   2. IU is not in a financial position to buyout an athletic coach that has such a lucrative contract...unless of course some Cuban or Cook-like $$ step in.

It was a a usual post game with no real intensity just matter of fact.  Crean is proud of the good and hard practices over the last several days.  He said the "recognition" by everybody was not good however, driving when a 3 should be taken and even who should be taking the shot.  CTC seemed business as usual and no big deal really.

Trustees I think ultimately have the final say right?  Boosters and alumni can lobby the trustees though.

CTC: "Great practices this week just poor recognition by everyone tonight."

I can not EVER remember an Assembly Hall "fleeing" like that during the game! .  And of course the TV cameras were showing it from every angle-embarrassing!

So does Pitino Jr.  And I guess they are tough running the same drill again, again, today according to Gus Johnson who watched there walk throughs.  Can't argue with the results today-Beat Mich State at Sparty's own house!

Is Crean possibly pushing them too hard this late in the season?   All the signs are there:   Individual looks of desperation ie. Blackmon throwing his arms up in the air when 3 IU defenders were caught in the corner while Olaf (sp?) dunked with no one within 8-10 feet of him.   Lack of concntration on foul shots, 3-17 on 3's, leaving both foul shots and jump shots short off the rim and finally, perfunctory attempt at defense.  Just sayin.'

What ever the uniform let's just make sure we (players) have the right mindset to play some tough Indiana basketball that they and Hoosier Nation can be proud of what do you say.
