Davis is better this year than any of us thought he would be. Lets wait and see if he is better next year vs. this year before we say he has developed. Zeller was not any better the day he left vs. the day he first started. Yeah, he was obviously bigger than he was in high school, but I don't think he made any huge leaps freshman to sophomore year. TB has regressed in a huge way! Very disappointed in him this year, especially with all the bitching to the refs on "no calls"!

This was my other thought about Donovan as well. I think Stevens still has that kindle burning to make IU a powerhouse again!

Probably because I don't really know much about him. I never paid any attention to Florida basketball, unless it was the NCAA Championship games they were in. Me not doing my due diligence on him. It's probably not a fair thing to say about him without knowing all I need too.

I'm not really sure why. I just never really cared for him as a coach.

I think I'm in the minority here, I don't really want Marshall or Donovan.

I agree, though he is a little old for my liking. I would love to get somebody who is going to be here 25+ years. I know, wishful thinking!

1. Stevens--obviously! 2. Holtmann--would be a solid hire! 3. Archie Miller--a very close 2nd to Holtmann.

I haven't like his game since he was in high school! I'm not a huge JBJ fan, never have been.

Oh, and another thing. With RMK, if we would've had a loss like we did to Nebraska, you better be wagering your house on the next game we played, because we were gonna kick whose ever ass was next on the schedule! At least it seemed that way to me. Hell,I'm old and have slept since then!

I'm almost 37 years old. I was 7 when we last one a national championship. I remember watching that game with my dad and thinking it was all over until Keith Smart hit "The Shot"! I have been a die hard fan ever since. Anybody who is my age or older was spoiled watching RMK teach this sport to young men playing for Indiana! He demanded and got ,for the most part, everything and then some out of all his players. His teams made the game look easy. Basic, fundamental basketball. Knowing angles, moving without the ball, setting solid screens, playing defense with your feet, and that the ball moves faster when you pass it and aren't dribbling it. Unfortunately, this is a huge thing that has been missing from IU basketball for many years now. I know the times have changed, but the game hasn't. Crean seems to be trying to reinvent the wheel and that kills me. I think we all knew that Mike Davis' time was going to be limited at the helm and I've had the same feeling towards Crean now for a couple of years. I just want someone to lead this team with basic fundamental basketball. Don't try to out think everybody else, just get your guys to do the basics better than all the other teams that you play.

I think winning at Wisky and at Purdue would be bigger than both those wins. I think we are arguing semantics, but I digress.

And before I get slammed with the good years, I acknowledge those, but it seems like for every one good/great year we have, we have 2/3 so-so/bad years.

Figuring it today is one thing, we have a BRUTAL B1G schedule to go through yet. So far it hasn't started like any of us thought it would. Do you see us having more Kansas, UNC wins in the B1G, or more WTF losses like Nebraska or IPFW? I feel we could see more of the latter. I'm just tired of settling with middle of the road, just good enough basketball with Crean here.

If we miss the tourney, he should be fired. If we barely get in and get bounced first game, he should be fired, but I don't think he will be.
