Man, I wish you guys were closer to me geographically. We could sit around for hours discussing IU basketball and drinking beers! I hate typing $hit out! My mind goes faster than I can hunt and peck!

Like I said, I think we need to find "our' Brad Stevens. Why can't we find the guy that no one else has found yet? Everyone says, "RMK isn't walking through that door". Well, No $hit, we are always chasing the flavor of the month!

I'm not old enough to remember, but what do you think IU fans thought when they hired RMK? Who the hell is this guy? Don't care where you are coaching now, you either have it or you don't! Just because he is in the NAIA doesn't mean squat to me, if you can win!

We need to start with baby steps! Someone brought up us and UCLA. I think that's where they went wrong, trying to run before you can walk. If you do that, you end up, well, where they are and we are heading that way. Greg knows how to coach, so what it is Div II.

Why not?

I think the reason all of us wanted Brad was for what he did at Butler. The "Butler Way" was what Indiana basketball is! RMK did it best by far, when he was here. We all saw what Brad did with what he had and wished it was happening at IU. I don't think getting any big name coach in here is going to regain what Indiana basketball was. If they are a big name they probably have done it their way. RMK came from nowhere. I think we need to start looking that way. We need to get back to the roots of Indiana basketball! I know it won't be popular, but the more I drink the more I think, I'm looking more at a Greg Tonagel type of coach. We need A Brad Stevens, not THE Brad Stevens. Nobody knew who Brad was before his Butler days, but he did what all IU fans have been wanting for decades! It wouldn't take a bunch of money. Just get a coach that understands fundamentals, how to play team basketball, make free throws, and win the Indiana way! Even if we hire a no name, just win and we will all get behind you. Just compete every game for F***'s sake! Let us know that you understand where you are coaching! I feel all the big names are set up for failure here. Hell, maybe even Brad would have failed. Maybe his time in the NBA made him lose touch where he came from(I don't know, but maybe). I WANT GREG TONAGEL!

I have two things to say. 1. Some of us let ourselves get set up for letdown. It happened and we have to accept it and move on! 2. Brad was the only candidate that would unify the fanbase. That being said, non of the other coaches can unify all of us, so give me Alford or Fife. If we all can't agree, I would rather have one of those two. I know it won't be popular on here, but oh well!
