Yes, I think we can agree Cal runs a NBA farm team. Kids don't go there for a degree. Is that a sign of poor character? Possibly. It's not what I want IU to be know for.

I want our program to adhere to high standards. If that means missing out on some top recruits with questionable character or associations, I'm good with that. Let pUKe or some other school have them.

The outrage I expressed over this was basically of the faux variety. I've been an IU basketball fan for 50+ years and have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. This snafu was indeed unfortunate but just a minor blip on the radar. I hope it can be resolved or at least avoided in the future.   BTW, I deal with adversities in life quite well. Been through a lot of serious ones and am still standing.

After last year, I think Crean does see the importance of character when it comes to building a team that has good chemistry and leadership.   Does anyone believe that if JaQuan Lyle qualified academically tomorrow, Crean would welcome him to IU with open arms? I don't.

I hope these Canadian teams are good. Our guys need challenges, not cupcakes, to get ready for the season.

I definitely see a trend toward high character recruits. It's a trend in the right direction and in keeping with Hoosier tradition. Let other schools deal with the head cases and the handlers.   Laz-approved!

Crean has offered Thon's younger brother, too, hasn't he? Have any other schools done that? The double offer could work in our favor, IMO.   I agree Thon would be a game changer for us. His brother sounds very talented as well.

Can someone define "creepy" in regards to Crean? I am not Crean's biggest in-game coaching fan but how is he creepy?
