Maybe an official announcement tomorrow? ( I am just speculating. )

I have been an IU basketball fan for more than 50 years. Our uniforms have changed over time, as well they should. Just look at pictures of the 60's and 70's teams! I think the real debate should be about how much change we want. Minor or radical?   I am in favor of keeping at least two traditions: the Cream and Crimson colors and the no-name jerseys. Both of those traditions mean something to our program. "Cream and Crimson" are our official colors. The colors are different than the white and red that a lot of other teams have. The no-name jerseys represent the concept that IU's team is more than just individual players. That's a concept worth displaying on the court. Other than those traditions, I am open to changes in the uniforms. And I think the alternative uniforms can be fun. Some are awful, but if it's just for a few games, who cares?

I think it is because Hoosiers are conservative. Not necessarily in a political way but in the more general meaning of the word.   Webster's defines "conservative" as "tending to preserve established traditions or institutions and to resist or oppose any changes in these". In the main, IU fans value traditions. We cling to what we know and love. Whether that is a good or bad thing is a matter of personal opinion. I like our traditions because I think they make IU distinctive. All around us, society is discarding tradition for the newest fads but we hold on to our history here. We value what came before us and try preserve it.

Charlottesville is a fabulous place. Beautiful area, great schools. My wife and I thought about moving there years ago when our family was young. It was our dream location.   I would say take the job, 41!

As I recall, Nicky Zee's former college coach said he was a team leader. Maybe he can help take some of the pressure off Yogi in that regard.
