Woodson1980, at least we are old enough to remember when IU basketball was great. Those were special times. I feel bad for the young IU fans who have never experienced the thrill of seeing their school win a national championship. I hope we can get back to the top again but Crean is not going to take us there. He just doesn't have what it takes as a coach. Sadly, we recognize that.

I like Donlon. He has several Indiana recruits on his roster at Wright State. Some big-time program will grab him soon, imo.

There were fewer sources of information back then. IU fans didn't know much about Knight when he was hired. We were basically told that he was a dynamic young coach. We soon found out just how dynamic he was.

Who would have called Knight a "proven coach" when he came here? There needs to be someone with knowledge and vision doing the next hire who can evaluate elite coaching talent wherever it may be found. I am not confident Glass is that person.

Alford's doing very well at UCLA these days. I doubt he's interested in coming back to Indiana.

I would prefer Wittman over Woodson. Wittman can kick butt. We need some of that around here.   I'm sorry no one liked my Crews as HC with Calbert and Hulls as assistants idea.   Edit: I want Stevens first and foremost. My other suggestions are just kicking around ideas.

IU used to be known for its defense. I'm old-school and I never thought I would see our team play as badly on "D" as they did last night. That really hurts.

I agree about Shaka. I don't see his style of play winning consistently in the B1G or in the tournament. It's gimmicky.

There may have been a time when Izzo wanted the IU job but that time has passed. He's at MSU for life now.   What other coaches with "high pedigrees" are currently very interested in the IU job?

Lyles' father screwed us over. Luke was unhappy with the culture on IU's team last year. I can't say I blame him for that.
