As long as Priller is working hard on improving his game, going to class and staying out of trouble, I support him wholeheartedly. Never thought he was a player who could make an immediate impact anyway. Give him time.

As an Indiana born and raised old-timer, makes me long for the days when we could watch all the IU games on Channel 4!

Wouldn't Shake be able to get a release if Larry Brown leaves SMU?   Not that Larry Brown ever leaves a job quickly, of course. "Stability" is his middle name.

As I recall, Shake is an excellent student. I hope this NCAA investigation into SMU academics will cause him to reconsider IU. 

Loved Uwe. Had him in a couple of my classes. Excellent student with a strong work ethic, on and off the court.

Stuhoo, I'm pleased to see Troy receive these honors.   I haven't had much time to follow IU basketball lately. A serious illness in my family is priority #1 right now.

In a Monday interview with the IDS, Troy says he now "can see the whole court, all 96 feet."   This may be part of Troy's problem since the court is 94 feet long.

I want to say something about Bob Knight as a color commentator. I don't know if younger fans really appreciate listening to him call a game or not, but when he is talking during a game, he often goes into "teaching mode". It's something that older fans who watched "The Bob Knight Show" and his recorded IU half-time segments will recognize. During those times, he's addressing a general audience who have a wide range of ages and knowledge of the game. He's trying to impart an understanding of the fundamentals of basketball and how the game should be played. Things like defense (!!!), passing, positioning, playing an entire 40 minutes, etc. Yeah, those are things people here know about but the casual weekend fan or the kid in elementary school might not. A lot of those fundamentals are ignored these days in favor of flashy plays that will be shown on SportsCenter. IMO, Knight hasn't "lost it"; he's just a calmer version of the basketball teacher he always was.
