Dakich is full of it on this subject. Out-of-state students who are into CBB are just as rabid IU fans as in-state students.   I do think international students generally lack the love of CBB that US students have but some do become fans after they have been at IU for a couple of years. Even if they don't, they add to the diversity and prestige of IU as a major university. No doubt about that.

Why aren't more posters around today? Are people actually working or going to classes?   Sheesh, back in my day, we took the entire week off for the IU-PU game.

The IU-pUKe rivalry is #1 for me now, if and when we play them.   IU-PU is about tradition but it isn't as important as it once was. I certainly don't "hate" Purdue like I hate the cheaters at UK. Purdue is more of a friendly in-state rivalry these days but I still always look forward to a big win against them.   Great topic for a thread!

I also reserve the right to post about "back in my day" crap. Barn, Floyd, Gomer, and Aunt Bea enjoy it. So do I.

AH is still the greatest place in the entire world for CBB. But I agree; this is not the '70's and '80's RMK era. Don't rag on the fans, especially the students. Times have changed. The "product" has changed, too.
