That Stevens took the Celtics job to begin with shows me that he is very unpredictable. I doubt anyone outside of his close inner circle saw that coming. He marches to the sound of his own drum. So who can say if he would come to IU now or not? Offer him the be$t deal we can and see what happens.

It seems like the fans last night were letting the administration know how they feel. It was a nationally televised game that pointedly showed fans leaving AH early. Not exactly good PR for IU.

Josh, good suggestion. Knight knows great coaching when he sees it. Love him or hate him, he has a brilliant basketball mind. Ask him whom he would recommend for IU.

Sean Miller has shown his ability to be a fantastic recruiter at Arizona. Archie is a better coach, IMO, and may have his brother's knack for recruiting at a higher level as well. It would be fascinating to see how he would develop as HC at IU. He's young so there is the potential for building a dynasty here.   ( My dream hire is still Stevens but I fear that is a pipedream at this point. )   Edit: I think most current players would stay if a coach like Archie is hired. We would just lose the guys who were already planning to leave.

Archie Miller is the best of the "realistic" candidates. Count me in!   Edit: I would love to have Calbert back as an assistant. Jordy would be great, too.

I think we could get Archie Miller. The IU job would be a step up for him. I also think he is a better coach than Sean.

Archie Miller's a very good young coach. He certainly wouldn't be my first choice ( that would be Stevens ) but he's a darn sight better than Crean. He also has experience recruiting in Indiana.

I sincerely hope Yogi stays at IU. If he does transfer, I'd rather see him go to UCLA than UofL because I think it would be better for his career. UCLA needs a true PG. Alford's son is a SG playing out of position now.
