The players are so soft for this…. Explains a lot! Upset at fans for being disappointed. The fans have good reason to be frustrated and upset. This basketball program/university doesn’t deserve the fan support they have. Constantly producing mediocre results whilst receiving the fan support of an elite program. At some point, it’s gotta to start being an equitable arrangement.

Didn’t watch the game today. Checking the thread to see the outcome…. Glad I didn’t watch. Not sure I’ll be watching anymore. my wife likes me better when IU is out of the picture. Archie years helped set the table for permanent apathy. This season (and most of last) helped drive the nail into the coffin. Unfortunate. Indiana Basketball is never going to be revived.

There is no doubt a large contingent of this fanbase that has a moral superiority/elitist complex. The program is a laughing stock to everyone other than IU fans.

We are gonna lose by double digits. Book it. What a ******* mess this season has become.

Time for Malik to grow up fast. We are gonna need big mins out of him. Trayce looks finished.

When Trayce is walking like Mike Woodson, that’s no bueno.

If Trayce is holding his back after that much time off, I think it’s safe to assume that it’s much worse than we all thought. Zero chance he makes it through the rest of this season. Just feels gloomy.

No chance this team finishes near the top of the B1G this season. We look awful.

Heard a great quote from a legendary basketball coach today. I felt it was appropriate for this thread. How often have we complained about the effort of our best players in recent years? "The difference between a really good player and a great player is great players don't get tired. They just don't. And what makes them great is when good players get tired the great player kicks their @$$. That's the difference, So every day you're working on that. Every day you're working on that. We can coach ball screens, passing into the post, cutting and playing defense. We're not here to coach your energy level and your effort. That's a given. You wouldn't be here if I had to coach that. maybe in Europe… he’s not an NBA player. Arizona’s bigs played a lot like how he would expect them to play in the NBA and he was completely outclassed. I love Trayce but he’s a great college player and a G-League/European prospect. I’ll be shocked if he ends up on an NBA roster for more than a 2day.

I’m my mind we are the next coach away assuming whoever makes that hire doesn’t completely botch it. I think Woodson is the best coach we’ve had since Sampson and is installing the right culture. I’m pretty confident that we were dangerously close to hiring Brad Stevens last time. If Woody can get this program to compete at the top half of the B1G for the remaining time he has here, I think our next coach gets us over the hump. That’s my hunch anyways. I will say that I think Gabe Cupps is going to lead us to a Final Four in his 4 years here.

Bring back the cupcake schedule! Our program is is not ready for these games. Unless it’s at AH, it’s a GUARANTEED embarrassing loss.

I’m having a hard time remember a team that I was as excited as this team, that turned out to be complete frauds.

If this is the level of effort from our best player, then sit him. We stink.

Two bright spots from last nights game 1. The team has grit and can be very good if they can clean up the stupid mistakes. 2. Tamar Bates after a slow start, played really well offensively. You could see his confidence growing.
