Has anyone told him who their guards are?

    B1G Standings Guesses?

I just think they lost way too much to even make up for that cupcake schedule.

    B1G Standings Guesses?

1.) Indiana 1.) Maryland 1.) Purdue 1.) Wisconsin (They'll have 2 starters that played significant mins in 2 Final Fours. Sleep on them all you want.) 5.) MSU 6.) O$U 7.) Iowa 8.) Michigan 9.) Illinois (I see a very disappointing season and a call for Groce's job. The talent is there to win.) 10.) Northwestern 11.) Minnesota 12.) Nebraska 13.) Penn State 14.) Rutgers     I think there is likely a log jam at the top. IU can win the league outright if Troy Williams and JB make big strides defensively. Adding Thon Maker would be a pretty gnarly and help our odds to win the B1G and National Title.

    (2016) C Thon Maker

Yesterday I read that an Australian Pro Team has inquired about his interest. Ed Smith said that it was not an option and that Thon is still preparing to play at a US University. List was unchanged. this is all I've heard recently.

    Coach Crean being awesome!

These kind of things reinforce my belief that hes a great human being but it does nothing to change my opinion on what his ceiling is as a coach. I don't ever root for him to lose. I think that's the most ridiculous thing that our fanbase can do. I hope, for his and everyone else's sake, he can adjust and achieve what his resume says he cannot do. Field a team that consistently contends for conference and National Titles.  Sorry if this seems cold hearted. *Insert cliche about "the truth hurting sometimes."

    OG Anonuby MAJOR Sleeper:

Not to mention how many people wrote NZ off as soon as it was announced he was joining the team (myself included).

Its always a safe bet, not counting on frosh for much impact.

It will depend on the minutes available to him. IMHO Holt could have made a significantly larger impact last season, had he not had to share mins with HMP.
  10. Is this stat true?!?!..... If so, we are far and away the most underachieving team out of that group. Not.Even.Close!

Evan Daniels from Scout.com went as far as to say that OG was the most intriguing prospect in the entire class to him.

. He's an elite athlete with very good size. He also shoots the ball very well and is considered a lock down defender. The best excuse I've seen from scouting services, as to why he's ranked so low is bc he developed so late into his career and that they haven't seen enough of him. He was one of the 5 best players at the derby classic.
  14. I honestly believe that it has nothing to do with branding. In college basketball, the single most important marketing tool is your head coach. Tradition means little to these kids. Find the right coach at a place like Indiana, and branding takes care of itself, in a big way.

    2015 Transfers and Early Entries

. No but I think it's more important to hold to "innocent until proven guilty" rather than "guilty until proven innocent."

(2016) SF Miles Bridges to MSU

. I think so. Not entirely sure. All I know is that I got excited about it until I googled "Miles Bridges recruitment" and noticed that he gave quite a few other schools that distinction.

(2016) SF Miles Bridges to MSU

He has very little interest in IU. Yes he said in an interview that IU was a "dream school" as he did with about 446409674980749840 other schools. Wont hurt to get him to Hoosier Hysteria though. Show him what loud is.
  19. The sad reality is that most kids nowadays are too soft to commit to a coach that is a tough disciplinarian. The bigger the ego, the more fragile it is.

    Rasheed Sulaimon to Maryland

Maryland is the clear favorite to win the B1G. I honestly think we are neck and neck with them though on paper. Our entire dynamic has changed with the addition of Thomas Bryant. We have the best PG in the league and have experience and depth at the forward position. Diamond Stone is ranked above Thomas Bryant but everytime I've seen them go head to head, Thomas Bryant outplayed and out hustled Stone. I'd take his motor and defensive/rebounding tenacity any day of the week. Especially considering our style of play. Call it rose colored glasses all you want but Maryland hasn't done anything at all to make me shake at the knees. Loaded roster on paper, while not having sone anything previously and ramping up the hype machine. I like us to contend for a share or outright B1G title.

    Everett Golson Anyone?

Honestly, I think its a joke. I'm staunchly opposed to schools being able to block a kid from going ANYWHERE he wants to go.

    Swanigan to PU

Purdue wants nothing to do with Hammons wandering out on the perimeter. Thats not a good look for them.
