Gloat all you want. It’s the program that’s struck out and has for the last 20+ years. Next year I’m sure there will be plenty of people to say they told you so.

Agreed. And I’ll add to this by saying it’s unfair to use FAU’s history when justifying why it took so long for Dusty May to win there, while dismissing Collins and not applying the same logic. If Dolson is kept from being able to hire his coach, he should step down. This is basically 2 opportunities to hire his guy and he’s being overruled. Thats as good as a vote of no confidence. I’d leave. Who wants to work under those conditions? I feel bad for the guy. I’ve blamed him at times for this hire bc I assumed he was responsible. I owe him an apology.

I’d be interested to know who was on the short list after Stevens said no.

He was a stroke of bad luck away from making a final four a few years before Edey. As much as I want to agree with this, I’m not sure that’s the case. He’s going to be in position to continually knock on the door until he eventually breaks through. I think a lot of us have been in denial for awhile.

Yeah. Some fan at Mullins sectional went right up to woody and told him he loved him as a player but that he needs to retire as a coach. Absolute **** move. But yeah. We’re beyond a clean break. This is one of the many reasons why it was a mind numbing hire. You don’t hire your family and friends. Buckner should lose his position as chair. Full stop. He is a bigger problem than Woodson.

Yup. Had his meeting with Dolson last night (according to Trilly). If you have to tell your head guy to show up for top in state talent, it’s time to make a move. Period. Each day we get more evidence that justifies removing him. I can’t believe anyone supports him staying. Recruiting has completely flatlined. For a guy that has experience in the NBA, you’d think he would understand that having to outspend everyone each season to build a roster is unsustainable. Recruiting high school kids builds a foundation for the program. Outside of the Liam Mcneeley’s, kids like Sisley and Mullins can bring the cost average of each player down and save the program some money. Not just that but you get some roster stability. Having to pay $300k-$700k per impact portal player is absurd. Especially when you consider we are going to need AT LEAST 5 guys (probably more) if he’s retained.

Retire Mike Woodson

Woody and the staff not being at Sisley’s game, while Painter is there, is infuriating. Unless he knows a change is being made, there is no excuse for that. How can anyone possibly defend him here? His seat is hotter than a jalapeño’s armpit. Painter is showing up while he has a legit chance to win a title this year. Few things piss me off more than laziness.

Sounds to me (and I’m just piecing things together) that things have progressed beyond feelers.
