The entire nation will be getting familiar with O.G. today. -
Lets all make a mental note of what page this is on. I bet you are right.

I work for a company that services the fire industry. You going to FDIC?
-
I see us finishing at 11-7 in conference.

Firefighter, eh?

I respect you having an opinion but it's not really fair to call people armchair QB's on this when you are essentially doing the same exact thing. People are hashing out facts that were presented by both the defense and the prosecution, whereas you are just arguing feelings instead of facts. I for one, do see the current justice system as being broken. Too many failures. Its not a darn numbers game. It's peoples lives we are talking about here. Everyone should be held accountable according to the law. That includes law enforcement, judges, politicians. Unfortunately, the current justice system grants them immunity far too often IMO. This is creating a massive hill for the honorable public servants to climb. There were 2 jurors found to have had direct family ties to employees of both the county clerks office as well as the sheriffs dept. That cant happen. The 2 jurors who have since came forward have said that many jurors, when asked for an initial way that they were leaning, voted not guilty. They claimed that there were some who seemed to have an obvious bias against Mr. Avery (perhaps the two who were relations to clerk and sheriffs employees?). The most telling revelation is that they said that many of them felt that they would be putting themselves in danger by allowing there to be a mistrial. That's strong. The entire situation stinks of corruption. Manitowac County police dept had no business on the crime scene. The fact that recently deposed law enforcement members were on scene, making CRITICAL finds with evidence, to convict their accuser, is a gross abuse of power. My personal and obvious opinion is that he was not given a fair trial. I agree with the filmmakers when they say that there needs to be a broader dialogue from this case. This isn't just happening in Wisconsin. I dont think people should take sides without considering both sides of the aisle's arguments. Blindly taking a sides is a glaring example that cognitive dissonance, on a mass level, is very real.

I agree that we have to watch this play out. Last year the media and many fans were singing Crean's praises and shaming his opposition after the Maryland win. Then we went on to play one of the worst stretches of basketball that I've ever watched Indiana play. He has a long way to go. He has to be judged by the season in it's entirety. I will say this: Crean has a GOLDEN opportunity to save his job at Indiana. The insanely favorable schedule, paired with the fact that there is truly not even 1 elite team, really opens the door for him. It also means that its time to produce some results. There will be no other direction to deflect blame if this season becomes a failure. Time to get it done.

I agree with this. I'm not so sure frosh Oladipo gets that many minutes on this team.

It could very well have to do with your blood sugar. If you ask your family physician for a blood glucose meter w/ test strips, he/she should be able to get you one for free. It's useful to have. I keep one on me usually. My father was inflicted with type 2 diabetes right around my age (29). Take care of yourself man. Again, praying for answers one way or the other.

Have you been under a lot of stress lately? Back when I was a soph in college I started having episodes where I would get dizzy, nauseous and would pass out cold. They performed tests on my heart and my blood sugar and everything was normal. Then just last year, I came home from work after picking up my daughter from her grandmothers, and started to have symptoms of a heart attack. I went to the ER and they told me the same. No irregularities. They started treating me for anxiety and I haven't had another episode since. I pray that you find answers, so that you can work towards fixing the issues. It's a scary place to be, when you know something is wrong but have no idea what is wrong.

I'm not one of Dakich's biggest fans at all but what he said here is spot on.

There is a lot of season left and this topic isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Analysis: After two B1G games, some new faces are emerging for the Hoosiers
HoosierTrav replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Good write up. I have no idea what the defensive numbers actually are with OG in the game, but they have to be better. While most are impressed with his offensive game, I am most impressed with how a guy his size can defend the perimeter. You also hit the nail on the head when you mentioned seeing his confidence rise, game by game. I see it. He's playing freely and its a thing of beauty. He has no ceiling IMO. -

OG Needs More Minutes
HoosierTrav replied to BlackmonGetsBuckets's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Love OG. He has incredible size and athleticism. Also has a great touch from deep. I agree with everyone who sees something special in him. That challenged layup, where there was obvious body contact, really stood out to me. He exploded out of a power dribble in such short space, absorbed the contact, and his body kept rising upward. His athleticism is crazy for his size. Just wait until he figures out that no one can physically match him. -

You're likely correct. Although where I'm from we still have a big enough group of goons that will murder you for looking at them the wrong way or for having $20 in your pocket. They also seem to congregate at these types of establishments.

That's great news for Boiler fans. Going to be a special moment in Mackey. I hope Knight can lose the grudge and allow us to shower him with our applause someday. It would give a lot of loyal fans closure.
-
You could argue that Branch McCracken is the most important coach in our history. Without him, we may not have ever attracted a coach like Knight.
-
The 2 times I've ever been to a strip club, I went out of my way to keep a low profile and avoid trouble. These athletes are friggin idiots.
-
The only person who truly knows, for certain, that he is a lame duck coach, is Glass. And he isn't telling us anything. If I had to bet money on whether Crean will be our coach next year, I'd take the safe position. He stays. If we are to get the next generational hire (Stevens), then timing has to be absolutely perfect. I cannot see Stevens family making the move this early.
